7 Reasons for Divine Healing

PASTOR BENNY HINN
God is and has always been the Healer.
He is Jehovah Rophe—The Lord Our Healer!
He declared, “I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26)
Oh, that we could fathom how deep and wonderful this promise is.
The Unfailing Remedy
The wonderful English Bible teacher Smith Wigglesworth used to tell about traveling in a railway coach one day. Two others on the train—a mother and daughter—were very sick, so Wigglesworth said to them, “Look, I’ve something in the bag that will cure every case in the world. It has never been known to fail.”
The mother and daughter were quite interested, so the minister went on to tell them about this “remedy.”
When they finally asked for a dose, he opened the bag, took out his Bible, and read them the verse that says, “I am the Lord that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26)
What a wonderful way to share how the Bible is filled with promises and accounts regarding health and healing for His children.

Healing Throughout the Bible

God’s ever-present desire for us is reflected in His (Exodus 15:26) covenant with the children of Israel.
David acknowledges that covenant when, in Psalm 103:1-3, he says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”
Jesus ministered to the sick, performing miracles and healing all who came to Him.
Matthew 4:23 records these words: “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”
God’s Will for you to walk in divine health and a right relationship with Him is emphasized throughout His Word.
But there is more to discover about divine healing—so much more.
Reasons
In the early days of our ministry I began to see people healed who had very little faith. I asked one man who came to the platform to testify about his miracle, “What church do you attend?”

“I don’t go to church,” he replied.
“Are you a Christian?” I questioned.
“No, sir,” he said bluntly. “I don’t know anything about that.”
Here was a person who had no knowledge of the Word, had never given his heart to Christ, but was now healed. I said to myself, “Lord, this doesn’t make sense!”
Soon after, I had a conversation with Dr. Lester Sumrall, a great man of faith who has since gone on to glory. I asked him, “Can you explain to me why God is healing so many unbelievers in our meetings?”
He responded with this question: “Who did Jesus heal 2,000 years ago?”
I went back to my Bible and reviewed the miracles of Christ. Time after time, Jesus healed those with little or no understanding of the things of God. I began to realize that His mercy brings both salvation and the miraculous.
Seven Reasons for Divine Healing
Anytime I go back to my study notes from that time in my life after my conversation with Dr. Sumrall, it is always such a delight to see what the Lord showed me.
I’ve been reminded of those words and the verse many times during recent days, and I want to share seven of God’s many purposes or reasons for healing people—then and now.
Reason #1: Jesus heals because He is full of compassion.
A leper came to Jesus, “beseeching Him, and kneeling down to Him, and saying unto Him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean” (Mark 1:40)
What was the Lord’s response? “And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth His hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean” (verse 41).
It was compassion that led to the miracle. Jesus Christ heals people today for the same reason, so that “the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance” (Romans 2:4).
Reason #2: Jesus heals because healing belongs to His children.
Once, when Jesus was preaching near the city of Tyre, a Syrophenician fell at His feet, asking Him to cast an unclean spirit out of her daughter.
Jesus said to her, “Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs” (Mark 7:27-28).
The Lord saw the woman’s faith, and the daughter was delivered!
If you are a child of the King, healing should come to you first, even before unbelievers receive their miracle. Yet I watch as those who do not know the Lord reach out in great faith, hungry for the crumbs. And time after time He pours out His healing virtue upon these people. Thank God, healing is often the entry point that helps people receive Jesus Christ as Savior.
Reason #3: Jesus heals to bring Glory to His Father.
On the side of a mountain near the sea of Galilee, “great multitudes came unto Him…and He healed them…(and) the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel” (Matthew 15:30-31).
On another occasion, there was a similar response when Jesus healed a paralytic man. “When the multitude saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God” (Matthew 9:8).
All glory and praise belongs to the Father. Healing is a wonderful, awe-inspiring faith-builder that should lead to glorifying God.
Reason #4: Jesus heals to fulfill God’s Promises.
At Capernaum, “they brought unto Him many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His Word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:16-17).
When the Master heals, it is a fulfillment of the prophecy spoken through Isaiah. On the cross, Christ took our sickness and infirmities.
Reason #5: Jesus heals also to confirm His own Word.
Healing was promised by the Father, then declared by Jesus Christ. He said, “If I do not the works of My Father, believe Me not. But if I do, though ye believe not Me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in Me, and I in Him” (John 10:37-38)
Christ knew exactly why He was sent to earth. He came to perform the works of His Father. Miracles confirm the spoken Word of Jesus. He heals to fulfill His personal Word to you.
Reason #6: Jesus heals to show you the Power in His Blood.
The prophecy declared in Isaiah 54:4-5 was fulfilled 20 centuries ago—“He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5).
The blood of Jesus was shed to forgive sin and provide healing.
Reason #7: Every time the Lord heals, the devil’s defeat at the Cross is exposed once again.
The Word tells us, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8)
At the house of Cornelius, Peter said, “You know…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power: Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:37-38)
Divine Healing and You
Jesus knows everything about you. You are His treasure. He even knows the number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:29-31) He desires to show mercy and healing toward you. You are so precious that He died on the cross for your sin and your infirmities. Let the Great Physician bring healing and deliverance to you today!
God wants you to live in divine healing and health. He wants you to understand more and more about it.
That is my prayer for you, today and always!

The Book of Revelation—Avoiding the Beast s Mark

Avoiding the Beast's Mark—The Book of Revelation
Rick Joyner
We continue here our study of how Revelation was given to the Lord to give to His bondservants. In Revelation 7, we are told that the Lord will hold back the four winds of the earth until His bondservants have been sealed. Therefore, only those who have embraced the life of a bondservant can fully understand this vision and are assured of not taking the mark of the beast.
One question some have is, does the life of a bondservant mean that we never do anything for ourselves? No. On the contrary, there is no greater freedom that we could ever know than being the Lord’s slave, nor is there anything more fulfilling in life than when we put His interests first. He is the most wonderful Master we could ever have, and He showed how great His love for us is by the price He paid—His own sacrifice on the cross.
It is written that the Lord knew us and formed us before the foundation of the world, and His ultimate purpose that we become all that He created us to be. However, as He taught“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matthew 16:25).
We are made in the image of God, or more accurately, we are made in the nature of God. His nature is to love, and through love, to give. He so loved the world that He gave the world His best—His only Son. That is the highest expression of His nature, and likewise the highest expression of who He created us to be is found in giving.
The Book of Revelation is clear that the time is coming when anyone who will not take the mark of the beast will not be able to buy, sell, and trade, but those who have become bondservants of the Lord will not need to because they have the Lord as their Source. So the main thing we can do to prepare for this time is grow in our trust in the Lord as our Provider.
This does not mean that we will not be called to do some things in the natural, such as storing provisions, to prepare for these times, , but we will do these things out of faith, not fear. Above all, we must learn the lesson Jesus taught in John 4:32-34:
He said to them, "I have food to eat of which you do not know."
Therefore the disciples said to one another, "Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?"
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
When we do our Master’s work, He will sustain us. Jesus walked in a place where He did not even need natural food and He came to show us how we too can live. Even if it comes to the place where we cannot eat without taking the mark of the beast, then we can count on Him to either provide for us or sustain us without natural provision.
We should resolve, like Daniel’s three friends who would not bow to worship the golden statue of Nebuchadnezzar, that the Lord can deliver us from anything. Even if He chooses not to deliver us, we will not worship anyone but Him.

Being a disciple of Christ is not an easy life, but it is the path to the best, most fulfilling life we can live. This is a life of maturing in Christ by “growing up in all things into Him” (see Ephesians 4:15). After salvation, if we go on to become a disciple, we will discern the calling of the bondservant. Those who are faithful servants can be elevated to being friends of God. The faithful friends can be elevated to being sons and daughters of God—eternal members of His own household.

The Ministry & Purpose of Angels

The Book of Revelation—Loving What God Loves

Loving What God LovesThe Book of Revelation
Rick Joyner

The four living beings, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say, "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME" (Revelation 4:8).
In Scripture, the number four is a number for “whole,” such as when the “four corners of the earth” speaks of the whole earth. Because man was created on the sixth day, six is usually the number of man. Later we will see how the “man of sin,” who personifies the sin of man, has the number 666, or three sixes. This is a revelation of how the sin of man in its full maturity seeks to displace the worship of the Trinity with the worship of man. This is the ultimate maturing of humanism.
These four living beings are a prophetic metaphor of mankind as it is before the throne of God. With “eyes around and within,” we have been given a magnificent ability to see externally and internally. The wings speak of the ability to soar above the earth. Even though these remarkable abilities of mankind are now marred and distorted because of the corruption of the Fall, God gave these abilities to man. He put it in us to want to see, understand, and explore things around us and in us. We also have a constant yearning to reach for the heavens. These are from God, and when mankind is restored and again abiding in His presence, they will be perfected.
The way that these attributes will be perfected is declared by these beings in this text—worshipping the Holy One by seeing His holiness, and seeing Him in our past, our present, and our future. This is to see Him as the ultimate understanding of everything. Once we see Him on His throne, we will not continue to worship the creation but only the blessed Creator. When we have a right relationship to God, we can then have a proper relationship to the creation, including to ourselves. Then we will, like the four living beings, be captivated night and day by our awesome, holy God.
We are created for God’s pleasure. Therefore, there is nothing that can be more fulfilling to us than doing the things that bring pleasure to God. This begins with loving Him. If we do this as we should, we will also love all others and will love the creation. “God so loved the world not just mankind. As we see in Revelation 11:18, the Lord will “destroy those who destroy the earth.” Those who wantonly destroy the creation have lost the essence of who they were created to be.
As we grow in our love for God, we also grow in our love for all that He loves, and we will not needlessly destroy or mar what He loves. The first command given to man was to take care of the garden. This too is part of the purpose of mankind. As we are restored to who we are created to be, our care for the creation will grow with our love for the Creator.
Every love, or devotion, that mankind has will be distorted if we do not abide in the Lord. Although some things are distorted by fallen men, this does not mean that we avoid them. Rather, we must endeavor to do them in the right spirit with excellence that comes from being changed by the glory of the Lord and living in His presence.

He is declared to be “He who was and is and is to come.” To know Him, we must see Him in all three. We come to know Him as the Creator who “emptied Himself” to become a man and live on earth among men to make the propitiation sacrifice for the world. He is no longer “Jesus of Nazareth” but is the Lord of Glory, sitting on His throne at the right hand of the Father. That is how we know Him now, but we must also know Him as He will be—the King of kings who will come again with His hosts to restore the earth. We will expand upon all of this as we continue our study of the awesome Revelation.

The Book of Revelation-Who Are the 144,000?

Who Are the 144,000?-The Book of Revelation
Rick Joyner
Anyone who believes in the atonement of the cross of Jesus is redeemed and will have eternal life. However, there is far more to our calling than just securing salvation. The Great Commission is to make disciples, not just converts. When we study the Lord’s teachings about the characteristics of His disciples, we may wonder if we know any. Being a disciple of Christ is not an easy life, but it is the path to the most fulfilling life we can live. This is a life of “growing up in all things into Him” (see Ephesians 4:15).
A disciple will discern the calling of the bondservant. Faithful servants can be elevated to being friends of God. Faithful friends can be elevated to being sons (and daughters) of God, eternal members of His household.
The sealing of His bondservants in Revelation 7 implies that there are so many that the Lord must hold back the winds of the earth until they are all sealed. This indicates that many are maturing and on the path to becoming the sons of God that Paul wrote about to the Romans—the whole world groans and travails for their manifestation. This makes the verses in Revelation 7:4-8 understandable:
And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:
from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand,
from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed.
There are many theories about who the 144,000 are, and just about every school of eschatology has a different opinion. They are not likely to be literal Jews because all but two tribes disappeared, and there is hardly a Jew that knows what tribe they are from. Of course, God knows so we can’t totally rule this out, but it is more likely that the biblical tribes were prophetic models of these ones.
Before digging down into the meaning of this, we need to briefly address two somewhat popular doctrines that are stumbling blocks to understanding this group. The first is Replacement Theology. This teaching has the church replacing and assuming all of the promises made to the nation of Israel. The second doctrine seems to have risen to counter Replacement Theology. I call it “Replacement, Replacement Theology.” This doctrine asserts that the re-born nation of Israel will replace the church and assume the promises made to the church. Both teachings are erroneous and divert us from the ultimate revelation foretold in the New Testament.
The time between Abraham and Christ was about two thousand years. God dealt almost exclusively with the Jewish people during this time. From the time of Christ until now, almost two thousand years, we have had “the times of the Gentiles,” in which God has dealt almost exclusively through the Gentiles. At the end of the time of the Gentiles, we will not enter another time of the Jews, but rather the revelation of “the one new man”—the Jews and Gentiles united, as foretold in Ephesians 2:15.
What does this have to do with the 144,000? Could it be that these are not Jews or Gentiles but the “one new man?” If so, how does this fit with the narrative in Revelation 7? We will examine later in this study.
Some groups, such as Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that they are the 144,000 in Revelation Seven. That doesn’t make much sense because there are millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I discussed this with a number of Jehovah’s Witnesses and did not find any that believed that they were a part of this company in Revelation Seven. What they claimed to believe was that they expected were that these were the saints who arose at the end of the age who would walk in the power and authority that The Lord did when He walked the earth because they would so fully abide in Him. The Jehovah’s Witnesses that I discussed this with thought that their job as Jehovah’s Witnesses were to prepare the way for this great company.
Now Baptists can have many different opinions about such things among themselves, as can Catholics, or any other group, so I do not take the Jehovah’s Witnesses that I talked to as a reflection of what they all believe about this, but it was noteworthy to me that there were as many as I did find. When I told them about the miracles I had personally witnessed, and the growing number of people who now have signs and wonders following them, the Jehovah’s Witnesses I talked to got very excited, thinking that they great company was about to become manifest.
I also found similar beliefs among some Mormons I talked to. Like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, I have no idea what percentage of Mormons hold to this belief, but it seemed that it could be many. This confirmed in me what I had been shown as a young believer. I was told that as the Samaritans, who had errors in their beliefs, but were the most responsive to the Lord when He came, and to His gospel when preached to them as Philip did, that the groups like the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons that today have a mixture are going to experience great revival and salvation at the end of the age.

Even so, because there are so many different opinions about this 144,000 we will take another week to establish the roots of the biblical symbolism that can establish more clearly who this group is because of their great importance.

I truly believe that your seed will bring you a great harvest and great protection for your financial tomorrow, as we are promised:
Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth…. In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
Ecclesiastes 11:1-2
