He Speaks Quietly

He Speaks Quietly
Formerly GOD Spoke Loudly; Now He Speaks Quietly
1 Kings 19:12 After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing.

*****

1 Kings 19:12 (King James Version) And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
In Biblical times it was as if God spoke in loud ways (e.g. earthquakes, fires, etc.), but in the days of the Kingdom of God He speaks by His Holy Spirit in “a gentle blowing” or “a still small Voice.”

As Zephaniah prophesied, He is “quiet in His Love” toward us:
Zephaniah 3:17 “The LORD your God is in your midst,
                               A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His Love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

Listen for the GOD who speaks in quietness.

Strike Down the Shepherd and the Sheep Will Be Scattered

Strike Down the Shepherd and the Sheep Will Be Scattered
“Strike Down the Shepherd and the Sheep Will Be Scattered”
You may recognize this as coming from Zechariah 13:7.  It was quoted by Jesus the night before He died as a reference to Himself (Matthew 26:31; Mark 14:27).
As this prophecy spoke that night of Jesus in the flesh, so it speaks for all time since of Jesus in the spirit.
Matthew 26:31 Then saith Jesus unto them, “All ye shall be offended because of Me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.”

If you would give Jesus free reign in your heart, give the Holy Spirit free reign in your heart – for this is how Jesus moves and reveals Himself today.  To be led by Jesus Christ is to be led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:18). The “Great Shepherd of the sheep” (Hebrews 13:20) did once walk the earth in the flesh (Hebrews 5:7), but we know Him according to the flesh no longer (2 Corinthians 5:16).
Rather, “now the Lord is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:17).

He that wins souls

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
Proverbs 11:30

The Fellowship of the Holy Spirit

The Fellowship of the Holy Spirit

Through Jesus Christ we have been granted the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.  As Paul wrote:
2 Corinthians 13:14 The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
And again:
Philippians 2:1 “Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion…”
Philippians 2:2 “…make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.”

To be in fellowship with the Holy Spirit is to be at one with the purposes of God.  There is a flow to the Spirit, and we enter into that flow when we walk with Him.

As the prophet said:
Amos 3:3 KJV Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
It is through the Holy Spirit that Christ dwells in our hearts (Ephesians 3:16-17).  Thus fellowship with the Holy Spirit is fellowship with Christ.

Our Helper

Our Helper

Even Messiah Was Not Meant to Be Alone
Genesis 2:18 Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
All Scripture speaks of Messiah.  Thus, we see that Jesus was not left alone, but rather was anointed with the Holy Spirit as His helper:
Acts 10:38 “You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
This is the helper of which Jesus spoke:
John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”

We are to be conformed to the image of Messiah. Thus we are to have the Holy Spirit as our helper, too.  Because of this, it becomes possible for us to say as Jesus did:
John 8:29 “And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.”

I know that my Redeemer liveth

“For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.”
 Job 19:25-27

Follow peace with all men

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord..."
Hebrews 12:14

A Vision About Billy Graham

A Vision About Billy Graham

There is only one thing we can take to Heaven with us—souls.
Look what God did with a man who was willing to believe every word of the Bible by faith. I believe anyone who is willing to take that stance is going to get a hero’s welcome in Heaven just like Billy Graham. “He who wins souls is wise” (Prov. 11:30).
