The Number of the Beast

The beast has a diabolically mysterious number — the number of his name is “666”.

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

Revelation 13:18

That’s the revealed number of ‘the beast’!

What exactly is this number?

What does it represent?

‘The number of the beast’ is enigmatic number—equivalent to ‘the name’ and ‘the mark of the beast’.

There is much confusion in the world today about ‘666,’ the number of the beast. Some believe that 666 is the actual mark of the beast, in the form of a bar code or tattoo. Some even believe that the number isn't 666, but 616 or 606. But Revelation 13 is very clear that the number is "six hundred threescore and six". Which is six hundred and sixty six. So straight away we can discard the belief that the number of the beast is anything other than “666.”

“The number of the beast” is connected with the beast's economy, government, and religion. This ‘wild’ and ‘terrible beast’ is revealed and described in Revelation 13:1 as rising “…out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy”.

This symbolizes his rising one-world government and political system, which was prophesied to rule over “…every tribe and people and tongue and nation.” (Revelation 13:7)

Nations’ economies are now being interconnected, and through this esoteric number—666, and “the mark of the beast,” the beast will control a major part of the world’s economy (And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name Rev. 13:17).

Through his false prophet, he will make a declaration of a one-world religion.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8)

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed (Rev. 13:14-15).

The number 666 has a connection with “the six types of Babylon” (past and present); beginning with the first Babylon which was the ancient ‘tower of Babel’ in Genesis 11. That ancient ‘tower of Babel’ all began with Nimrod in the 10^th chapter (read verses 8 to 10). Therefore, the number 666 was connected with Nimrod.

GOD ALMIGHTY views all human political systems as gross failures. They have been unable to bring lasting peace and security—things that only GOD’s Kingdom will achieve.

The process of working from a number to a name was an ancient process called “gematria” in Hebrew and “isopsephia” in Greek. Many ancient languages utilized the letters of the alphabet for their numerical systems. The letter and number ratio was known by all. This existing process was used in enigmatic statements to conceal the identity of the person under consideration.

An oft-quoted graffito from Pompeii (about A.D. 79) reads: "I love her whose number is 545."

Only those who knew the name or the pool of candidates could work out the riddle.

Now there is a very important point that the majority of people miss concerning the number 666, and that is the fact that 666 is a NUMBER that needs to be "calculated".

Revelation 13:18 ...'Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.'

As you can see, it says that we need "wisdom" and that we need to "calculate" the NUMBER of the beast.

So what does this mean?

It means that 666 cannot just be three digits that would appear on a barcode or tattoo. Neither does it mean that the digits 666 that may appear in a date or phone number or license plate is evil. In of themselves, the three digits of 666 together are not the evil that this prophecy reveals. This is an actual number that needs to be calculated. So other numbers need to be added together to arrive at the number 666.

So to be able to calculate the number 666, we need to first find out who “the beast” is. Because ‘the number’ is “the number of the beast”.

So, simple logic tells us that we first need to know who “the beast” is. This is why we need "wisdom" to find out what this number is and who's number it is. For the mystery of “the number of the beast” to be decoded, the identity of “the beast” must be decoded, first.

The Number of the Beast

So, if we know the identity of the beast of Revelation 13, then we can find out exactly what “666” “the number of the beast” represents. In verse 18 of Revelation 13 it says: “… it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

Ok, so now we are getting somewhere. “The number of the beast” is the number of “a man”. Apostle John explains in this verse that the number 666 is “the number of man.”

Only THE SPIRIT OF GOD—WHO IS THE SPIRIT OF REVELATION can unveil the mystery of the number 666!

HE already revealed “the beast” who was ‘masked’ in the prophecy of Scriptures as “the antichrist”; “the man of sin”.

Just as the little horn of Daniel 7 had "eyes like the eyes of a man" who spoke great things against our MOST HIGH GOD. So does this beast of Revelation 13 speak great pompous words against GOD ALMIGHTY.

The Man of Sin Has Been Revealed—the Nameof the Beast

Both “the number of the beast” and “the name of the beast” are connected with the beast’s identity, authority, power, government, economy and religion.

The beast’s organizations which includes the UN and the EU all work collaboratively with “the number of the beast”—connected with their entire electronic network.

Today, the diabolical frontier-ministry of “the antichrist” runs parallel with his ‘one world government’ agenda, through the office of the Catholic pontiff of the Roman Church in Vatican.

The number 666 is connected with the system of the Roman Catholic papacy.

If you convert the Latin title "Vicarius Filii Dei" into Roman numerals, and CALCULATE the total number, it adds up to 666!

Take a look at the following quotes:

"The letters inscribed in the pope's miter are these; Vicarius Filii Dei, which is the Latin for 'Vicar of the Son of God.' Catholics hold that the Church, which is a visible society, must have a visible head; Christ, before His ascension into heaven, appointed St. Peter to act as His representative. Hence, to the Bishop of Rome as head of the church, was given the title, 'Vicar of Christ.' At present the pope's miter does not contain the Latin title, but the words are incorporated into the coronation ceremonies of each newly crowned pope." (Quote from Catholic newspaper, Our Sunday Visitor, of April 1915)

"Question: Vicarius Filii Dei? What does this mean? Is it a phrase referring to the pope or priest? I have heard that it is inscribed on the pope's hat, or something. Just curious to know what is it."

"Answer: (From father Reginald Martin) ... Vicarius Filii Dei means Vicar [or representative] of the Son of God, a term scholars believe first appears in a document known as the Donation of Constantine, dated to the eighth or ninth century. This is an apt description of the Pope, who is frequently referred to as the Vicar of Christ, and, at present, probably only the most bitterly anti-Catholic individuals would take offense at the title." (Our Sunday Visitor, The Catholic Answer, 24th Nov. 2011 - Page now gone!)

So, be cleared on this: "Vicarius Filii Dei" represents 666 — “the number of the beast” connected with his rising government and the papal Church of Rome. It is the number of the man who is the leader of the beast system.

The Babylonian Solar Seal

There is also evidence of a Babylonian "solar seal" with 36 numbers on it, representing the different Babylonian "gods" that they worshiped. And if you calculate the 36 numbers on this seal, as pictured, adding them together, they come to 666.

In this Babylonian system of worship, they had 36 gods, with the sun god being the supreme "father" god that ruled all the other gods. And they assigned the sun god the total number of all these other gods, which was 666.

Now maybe you are thinking what has this got to do with the Roman Catholic Church? Well, it has a lot to do with it, because the Roman Catholic Church adopted many of the Pagan systems and traditions from Babylon.

The ancient pagan sun worship was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church is largely responsible for changing the Lord's Sabbath to SUN-day, to keep the Pagans happy. But also, take a look at the following pictures.

On the left is a Roman Catholic Church procession with a clear image of the sun being held aloft and carried by the priests. And on the right—a very early picture of sun worship.

Just look at the image of the sun in both.

They are the same!

And this is just one of the many images within the Roman Catholic Church that are adored, venerated and worshipped. The Roman Catholic Church is full of different "gods" just like ancient Babylon was.

The number ‘666’ implies ‘triple-number’ of “the dragon”, “the antichrist”, and “the false prophet”.

Right from the first century to these last days, and even in the eschatological future, the identity of those who follow the Lamb of GOD is evident, likewise, the identity of those who follow the beast is evident.
