“The Battle of the Great Day of GOD ALMIGHTY”

Just after "The Return of The KING" to the Earth, at “the Valley of Megiddo” “the beast” and “the kings of the Earth” and their armies, will gather together

to make war against "The KING" and against His army.

"The Lamb" will overcome them, for He is “LORD of lords and KING of kings!”

He will Return as “The KING” and He is “The Lamb” that overcomes.

He is “The Lion and The Lamb”.

This will be the final conflict between “The CHRIST” and “The Antichrist”.

"The antichrist" will be captured alive, with his false prophet, in this Battle.

'The remnant of the beast' will be slain with the sharp, double-edged sword that come from the mouth of "The Great Captain" Who rides on the white horse,

and the fowls of the air, and wild beasts will gorge themselves on their flesh.

After 'the Antichrist’s Defeat’, he and his false prophet shall be cast alive

into 'the lake of fire burning with brimstone.'

And, Satan the dragon that gave his power and throne and great authority to "the beast" (Rev. 13:2), shall be bound in chains, and imprisoned in the bottomless pit for a thousand years.

Each time Satan (the Adversary) loses ‘the battle’, he is ‘cast out!’

‘The Imprisonment of Satan’ — ‘the great dragon’, will be good news to Heaven.

But, after 'the thousand years' are ended, he will be 'loosed a little season.'

NEXT MAJOR-EVENT

Armageddon

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of The Great God;

That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

Revelation 19:17-18 KJV

“The Battle of The Great Day of GOD ALMIGHTY”

An angel standing in the sun, announces with a loud voice to all the birds that fly across the sky:

“Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of The Great GOD. . .”

This will come to pass on the mountains of Israel – at a place called in Hebrew: “Armageddon.”

This event was prophetically announced in Revelation 16:16

This is “the Battle of The Great Day of GOD Almighty!”

In the days of Prophet Ezekiel, GOD commanded him to prophesy and make a declaration of this ‘sacrificial meal’ (Ezk. 39:17-20) which will be ‘a triumphant feast’ of The Messiah’s Victory in “the Battle of the Great Day of GOD ALMIGHTY” at “Armageddon” – which this angel now announces in Revelation 19.

This 'triumphant feast’ of The Messiah will be 'a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel' (east of the Jordan) — a 'feast of flesh and blood'; of 'the flesh of the mighty', 'the blood of the princes of the Earth', of rams, of lambs, of goats, and of bullocks.

It will be a feast of horses and chariots, soldiers, heroes, mighty men, and men of war to ‘all kinds of birds’ and to ‘every wild animal’.

In Revelation 16, “the great river Euphrates” was dried up, that ‘the way of the kings of the East’ might be prepared. Leaders of nations began to gather at ‘the Valley of Megiddo.’

Through the ‘diabolical signs and miracles’ performed by Satan’s seat of power, and by ‘the reign of the beast’, and by ‘the ministry of the false prophet’, the nations were gathered together into ‘the Valley of Megiddo.’

“Armageddon” means "the mount of the assembly" ( הר־מגדון har-megiddon) — it means "the destruction of their army" ( חרמה גדהון chormah gedehon).

The word “Armageddon” appears only once in the Greek New Testament, in Revelation 16:16. The word is a Greek transliteration of the Hebrew Har Məgiddô (הר מגידו "Mount Megiddo").  Har means "a mountain or range of hills". This is a shortened form of harar meaning "to loom up; a mountain".

“Megiddo” is mentioned twelve times in the Old Testament, ten times in reference to the ancient city of Megiddo, and twice with reference to "the plain of Megiddo", most probably simply meaning "the plain next to the city".

“Megiddo” overlooks the Plain of Esdraelon (Valley of Jezreel). It lies about 18 miles (29 km) southeast of Haifa in northern Israel.

"Mount Megiddo", the valley of which was remarkable for King Josiah’s defeat (2 Kings 23:29), and the slaughter of Canaanites’ armies (Judges 4:16; 5:19) — references to the name of an ancient mountain range called “Carmel” (site for a confrontation between Prophet Elijah, and the "prophets of Baal" (1 Kings 18:19-20).

Over 33 battles were fought at “Megiddo” and around its surrounding valley. About a dozen of the wars occurred in biblical times.

The Bible lists the king of Megiddo among the Canaanite rulers defeated by Joshua in his conquest of the land (Josh. 12:21).

"Megiddo" was where Ahaziah king of Judah died, after he was wounded in his chariot (2 Kings 9:27).

“The Battle of Megiddo” (19-25 September 1918) was the climactic battle of the Sinai and Palestine campaign of the First World War (1914-18). German and Ottoman forces found themselves encircled by British Empire and French forces under General Sir Edmund Allenby.

The immensity of ‘the plain of Megiddo’ is so astonishing that when Napoleon Bonaparte first viewed it in 1799, he was reported to have said, “All the armies of the world could maneuver their forces on this vast plain. . . . There is no place in the whole world more suited for war than this. . . . [It is] the most natural battleground of the whole earth” (Cline 2002: 142; ellipses and brackets original).

The armies of the Greeks, the Romans and the Crusaders fought here.

“Armageddon” is the Greek word for this area, which was the scene of many ancient battles, its name means "place of crowds".

Because of this history, "Megiddo" became a symbol of the final conflict between “The CHRIST” and “The Antichrist”.

‘The War of Armageddon’ will be a physical war on Earth — yet it will entail spiritual battle.

“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army.”

Rev. 19:19 KJV

Here at “the Valley of Megiddo”, “the beast” and “the kings of the Earth”, and their armies, gather together to make war against “The KING” and against His army.

“The Lamb” will overcome them, for He is “LORD of lords and KING of kings!”

He will Return as “The KING” and He is “The Lamb” that overcomes.

He is “The Lion and The Lamb”.

It is “the Battle of Armageddon!”

The very moment when “the Antichrist” with the rulers and nations that are allied with him are gathered together against JESUS CHRIST Who sits on a white horse. They will make war against Him, and against His army.

JESUS’ Army.

Who are they?

They are His called, chosen, and faithful servants — “soldiers of the Cross” fighting in The LORD’s Battle. They will be anointed for this Battle — anointed for warfare — for ‘the Battle of that Great Day of GOD ALMIGHTY’. They will be strengthened for the Battle — clothed with “the whole armor of GOD”.

In Revelation 12, “they overcame by the Blood of The Lamb,” and by ‘the word of their testimony.’

Note that ‘the angelic host’ are a part of “the armies of Heaven.” The glorified saints, apostles, and prophets are also a part of these armies.

Revelation 19:14 reveals that ‘the armies of Heaven’ “arrayed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him upon white horses.”

Not ‘army of Heaven’, but “armies of Heaven”.

And so, He is “The LORD of hosts”.

This Battle belongs to The LORD!

He is “Faithful and True”.

Yes! That’s His Name!

And so, He comes to “the Battle of that Great Day of GOD Almighty clothed in a robe dipped in His Blood.”

By “THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB” we are victorious in this Battle.

His NAME is called: “THE WORD OF GOD.”

“The word of our testimony” come from His Word — by which we as ‘a part of the armies of Heaven’ are overcomers at “Armageddon.”

The Antichrist’s Defeat

Here is the conclusion of the Great Battle at ‘the Valley of Megiddo”:

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of His mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Rev. 19:20-21 KJV

“The Antichrist” who received worship from all the inhabitants of the Earth whose names are not written in The Lamb’s Book of Life, will be captured and with him his false prophet — who exercised all authority of “the beast”,  and caused the earth and those who dwelt in it to worship “the beast”.

“The beast” with his armies, together with rulers and emperors with their armies, shall suffer fatal blow at “the Valley of Megiddo”.

Verse 20 states that both “the beast” and “the false prophet” were “cast alive into a lake of fire…”

“The beast” who made war against “The KING of kings and LORD of lords”, together with his “false prophet” who performed great diabolical signs and miracles (Rev.13:13-14), and caused people of every nation, both small and great to receive “the mark of the beast” (Rev. 13:16-17) — shall be cast into “the lake of fire.”

“The Antichrist” is ‘that Wicked’ [the lawless one] (2 Thess. 2:8-9), and he is “the son of perdition” – “the man of sin” (2 Thess. 2:3) and he is “the beast.”

But, GOD’s Word guarantees that after 'the Antichrist’s Defeat’, he and his false prophet shall be cast alive into 'the lake of fire burning with brimstone.'

The birds of the air will feast ravenously on the flesh of rulers, the flesh of generals and captains, the flesh of powerful and mighty-men, the flesh of horses and their riders. They shall feast on the flesh of ‘the free’ and ‘the slave’, both small and great. They will feast on the flesh of the beast's loyalists and worshippers — for this is “the supper of The Great GOD!”

GOD Almighty will pass a ‘sentence of doom’ on “the beast” and on his government. He shall avenge on them the blood of His prophets and saints.

He is The Great GOD, Mighty and Awesome — He passes Judgment and makes war in Righteousness. Victory and Glory belongs to Him.

In ‘the Message to the Church in Philadelphia’ we read that Christ Jesus Who is “Faithful and True” has “a New Name” which He will inscribe upon those who overcome (Rev. 3:12).

Splendor and Majesty are His.

His Dominion is an Everlasting Dominion.

‘The dominion of the Antichrist’ shall come to an end — he is 'the beast that was, and is not, that ascended out of the bottomless pit' (Rev. 17:8) — he received Satan’s power and authority, and inherited his throne (Rev 13:2 KJV).

As “a conqueror bent on conquest" (Rev. 6:2), he reigned over the Earth in his 'political conquest' and in his ‘religious-conquest.’

In Revelation 6 he took 'peace from the earth' — he exercised his dominion in the earth — causing terror, wars, and conflicts.

In the same chapter, he caused 'economic gloom', and 'financial-insecurity' in the world — which brought about ‘economic depression’ and ‘global economic reset.’

Revelation 13:7 reveals that he was given ‘power over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations’.

And, he caused people across the world to receive ‘his name’ — ‘his number’ — his 'mark of ownership and identification' — “the mark of the beast” (Rev.13:11-18).

A ‘master of intrigue’ who opposed and exalted himself above GOD, and was worshipped by men.

Revealed as “the man of sin” yet he is “the son of perdition” — 'a world ruler' who made war against the saints, and against Israel.

‘A fierce-king’ who led a ‘one-world government’, "one world religion", and a "one-world economy" — and plunged the world into a time of 'Great Tribulation', war, famine, and martyrdom.

And so, his defeat will be at ‘the Valley of Megiddo”, and he shall come to an end.

The Imprisonment of Satan in the Abyss

And I saw an angel come down from Heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Revelation 20:1-3 KJV

In the time of "Armageddon", after ‘the Antichrist’s Defeat’, Satan will be bound and imprisoned in “the bottomless pit” for a thousand years.

Satan the Devil who deceives ‘the whole world’ will be bound and cast into the abyss. And after "The Millennial Reign of Christ", Satan will be released out of “the bottomless pit”, and will lead a rebellion of armies 'as the sand of the sea.'

So, while “the dragon” is bound by “an angel” with ‘the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain’ and cast into ‘the bottomless pit’ — where he will serve ‘a prison-term’ of 1,000 years; this will be an enforcement of Divine Judgment passed by GOD ALMIGHTY against “that old serpent.”

Just as GOD ALMIGHTY did not spare ‘the angels that sinned’, but ‘cast them down to hell’, and ‘delivered them into chains of darkness’; where they are reserved for Judgment (II Pet. 2:4) — even so will Satan, the Devil — ‘the dragon which is that old serpent’ be sentenced to prison in “the bottomless pit.”

To make sure that he remains imprisoned for a thousand years, the angel shuts him up with ‘the key of the abyss’, and sets a seal upon him, ‘that he should deceive the nations no more.’

In old times, kings and rulers sealed prisons, and tombs of political-prisoners and of those charged for crime. They sealed them with stone and with their own seal.

King Darius of the Medes and Persia signed a foolish decree, and Prophet Daniel was imprisoned in a den of lions. A stone was laid on the mouth of the den, and the King sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signet of his lords (see Dan. 6:16-17).

At Pilate's command, the chief priests, the Pharisees, and the Roman soldiers sealed the stone of Jesus' tomb, and set guards around it (read Matt. 27:62-66).

JESUS CHRIST Who rose from the dead, Returns as “KING of kings and LORD of lords” to fight in “the Battle of that Great Day of GOD ALMIGHTY”— and because He wins in this ‘Battle’, and Satan loses, Satan will be bound for 1,000 years!

Remember that, Revelation 12 gives a narrative of “The War in Heaven” of which ‘the great dragon’ was cast out of Heaven, and into the Earth (read verses 7 to 9).

But this time, he is cast into “the bottomless pit.”

Each time Satan loses ‘the battle’, he is ‘cast out!’

Revelation 12:13-17 speak of “The War on Earth”.

This “War” takes a different dimension — ‘the Armageddon’ in Revelation 19 in which “The KING of kings and LORD of lords” comes to finish “the Battle of the Great Day of GOD Almighty.”

"The bottomless pit" is a chaotic deep. It is a prison of fallen angels and demons (read Rev. 9:11; Luke 8:30-31).

'The angel of the bottomless pit' was 'held up' in the abyss until it was released in Revelation 9 to lead demonic forces into the earth.

(Note that, four fallen-angels bound at the great Euphrates River were loosed to kill ‘a third of mankind’ — as seen in the same chapter).

Revelation 11:7 and 17:8 reveals that "the beast" came up out of "the bottomless pit."

At the time of 'the Armageddon', Satan the dragon that gave his power and throne and great authority to "the beast" (Rev. 13:2), shall be bound in chains, and imprisoned in the abyss ‘to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years are ended.’

‘The Imprisonment of Satan’ — ‘the great dragon’ will be good news to Heaven.

But note, “. . . the thousand years should be fulfilled and after that he must be loosed a little season” (Rev. 20:3 b).

BASIC LESSONS ON PRACTICAL CHRISTIAN LIVING

Burdened with the need of a firm foundation for the Christian life, brother Watchman Nee gave a series of basic lessons on practical Christian living during the training session for workers held in Kuling, Foochow, China in 1948. He expressed the hope that these essential lessons might be faithfully learned by God’s people, thereby laying a good foundation for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Changed by the Glory - Rick Joyner

Changed by the Glory

By Rick Joyner

But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord,

are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory,

just as from the Lord, the Spirit (II Corinthians 3:18).

As this Scripture declares, we are changed as we behold the glory of the Lord. Almost every Christian knows this, but it is remarkable how many get it backward in practice. Instead of seeking to see His glory so that they can be changed, they think that they have to change in order to see His glory.

As we have observed previously, when Adam and Eve first sinned they took the course that is a natural reaction to sin—they tried to hide from God. They also tried to cover up their own nakedness exposed by the sin. When the Lord called them out, they tried to blame shift to put the responsibility for their own failure on someone else. This is also a natural reaction to sin—hide, and then when exposed, blame shift. This is the path to darkness and further corruption.

However, the way of escape from both sin and the consequences of sin is to resist doing what seems natural. We must learn to run to God instead of away from Him. We must also seek to take responsibility for the sin, and not try to blame someone else. The Lord will forgive our sins, but He does not forgive excuses. When we make excuses for our sin it is obvious that we have not really repented of them. As we are told in Hebrews 4:16:

Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace,

that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.

If you take the first two chapters of the Bible, and the last two, you have a complete story. Everything between those four chapters deal with one essential subject—redemption. The Lord is in the redemption business. He seeks to take every failure and turn it into a victory for us. That is why the failure of the first creation led to the establishment of a new creation that was even greater than the first, enabling man to partake of the heavenly nature through Christ.

However, the way we do this is through the cross. We must die to all that we are in order to partake of the new and greater life. We die in order to live; we lay down our lives in order to be raised up.

That is why we must learn to boldly turn to the throne of grace when we stumble, instead of trying to hide or blame shift. We do not have to wait to become perfect in order to enter into His presence, but rather entering into His presence perfects us. In all things, even our sin and failures, we must learn to turn to the Lord and seek to behold His glory. Then we will be changed. When we behold His glory we will begin to reflect His glory, because we will be changed into His same image. This is our ultimate calling—to be like Him and do the works that He did.

When we think of seeing His glory we think of everything from beautiful colors to some perception of His nature. The story about Moses when he asked to see His glory gives us some insight into what we will see when we behold His glory.

Then Moses said, "I pray Thee, show me Thy glory!"

And He said, "I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you,

     and will proclaim the Name of the LORD before you;

and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious,

and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion."

But He said, "You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!"

Then the LORD said, "Behold, there is a place by Me,

and you shall stand there on the rock; and it will come about,

while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock

and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.

"Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back,

but My face shall not be seen" (Exodus 33:18-23).

When Moses saw the Lord's back, what did he see? I believe that he prophetically saw the stripes that were on His back. Remember, the Lord was crucified from the beginning. When He created the world He knew that He would also have to suffer and even die for it, yet He continued. There is nothing else that will ever more fully reveal His glory. When we truly behold what He did for us we will be changed.
