Prayer In The Spirit
To Pray in The Spirit we must first abide in Him; we
can only walk in The Spirit, and by The Spirit, when we do.
To pray in The Spirit we are required to wait for
the moment of The Spirit. At this moment, all hypocrisy dies, this is the moment
of TRUTH.
The Lord is near to
all who call on Him,
to all who call on Him
in Truth.
Ps 145:18 NIV
That moment is absolute REALITY!
It is the moment of intimacy.
In His Presence is fullness of Life, Light, Joy, and
Peace. In His Presence there is Liberty. In the Presence of Jesus sickness
cannot exist. When The LORD is nigh He delivers, and answers – so we must wait
for Him to come—we must await His Visitation.
He fulfills the
desires of those who fear Him;
He hears their cry and
saves them.
Ps 145:19 NIV
His Presence is REALITY!
In the Presence of The LORD, GOD’s Will is revealed.
To abide in The Spirit means being one with Him;
surrendering to His Will and being under His divine control.
The Holy Spirit maketh intercession—if He is praying
through me, then there will be divine impartation in my life—only when He
performs His work of intercession through us, we are able to realize GOD’s Plan
and Purpose. This is the prayer that GOD requires—the one He answers.
In the same way, The
Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but
The Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And
He Who searches our hearts knows the Mind of The Spirit, because The Spirit
intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's Will.
Rom 8:26-27 NIV
When we abide in
The Spirit, He helps us in our weakness.
“The
Spirit helps us in our weakness.”
The word
'infirmities' is rendered in the King James Version, in place of 'weakness'.
The Holy Spirit
helps our infirmities.
The word infirmity
(plural: infirmities) means physical or mental weakness.
The Holy Spirit
helps us in our physical and mental weakness. He raises our ‘state of strength’
and gives us ‘the quality of might’. He is our Source of mental and emotional
support.
The Spirit helps us
in our physical, mental and emotional weakness; He helps us in our state of
spiritual weakness which was to our disadvantage and fault, for in II Corinthians
13:4 it is stated that ‘we are weak in Him, yet by God's Power we will live
with Him ...
“We do
not know what we ought to pray for…”
Why?
Because, only The
Holy Spirit knows what is The Father’s Will; flesh and blood doesn’t know it.
He doesn’t pray according
to our desire, but He uses us as vessels to touch the Throne of GOD with
groaning which are not words—cannot be uttered.
“…but The Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans
that words cannot express.
Only The Holy
Spirit knows our hearts and the Mind of The Spirit.
“He
Who searches our hearts knows the Mind of The Spirit…”
O Lord, You have
searched me
and You know me.
You know when I sit
and when I rise;
You perceive my
thoughts from afar.
You discern my going
out and my lying down;
You are familiar with
all my ways.
Before a word is on my
tongue
You know it
completely, O Lord.
Ps 139:1-4 NIV
Because of the
faithful intercession of The Spirit for us, GOD’s Will is done and His WORD
becomes all in all.
“The Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with
God's Will.
And The Father Who
knows all hearts knows, of course, what The Spirit is saying as He pleads for
us in harmony with God's Own Will.
(Read from TLB)
The Holy Spirit
intercedes for God's people the way God wants Him to. His intercession for the
saints is according to and in harmony with God's Will.
His Power is made
perfect in our weakness (II Cor. 12:9).
We can only make
request according to His Will when we are in agreement with His Own Plan.
He listens to us and
hears us.
We must depend on
The Holy Spirit to ask according to GOD's Will. We can only discover His Plan when
we abide and walk with Him.
This is the confidence
we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His Will, He
hears us. And if we know that He hears us — whatever we ask — we know that we
have what we asked of Him.
1 John 5:14-15 NIV
The apostles could
only pray effectively when they prayed in The Spirit. Any prayer apart from The
Spirit is not prayer at all. When we worship GOD, it must be by the help of The
Holy Spirit; or we are not worshipping at all.
He takes each
yielded vessel and turns that one into an ‘instrument of prayer’.
A Word of Prayer
O LORD,
Thy Name be glorified in The Name of Your Son
Jesus Christ.
I ask you today, to give me the Grace to pray
every day in The Spirit.
Teach me to abide in You and walk with You all
the days of my life.
Help me to wait for that moment of The
Spirit—the moment of TRUTH.
I need Your Presence in my life; I await Your Visitation,
for Your Presence is REALITY.
Blessed Holy Spirit, reveal GOD’s Will to me
and help me to totally surrender to Your divine Will and Control.
In The mighty Name of Jesus Christ I pray
Amen.
