*** Scripture 8 ***
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Gen 1:26-27 NIV
After God made the earth and the entire universe—with their various composites He made man on the Sixth Day.
Concerning the universe, the Bible declares:
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
Ps 19:1-4 NIV
The heavens are a marvelous display of GOD's craftsmanship. Day and night they keep on telling about God.
Since earliest times all of GOD's creation have been evidence to man of the reality of GOD.
Romans 1:20 says,
“For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities — His eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
GOD renewed the face of the earth by sending His Holy Spirit.
When you send your Spirit,
they are created,
and you renew the face of the earth.
Ps 104:30 NIV
This was accomplished through The Son, Whom The Father appointed as Heir over all things.
…His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, and through Whom He made the universe.
Heb 1:2b NIV
And it was at GOD’s Command.
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Heb 11:3 NIV
The earth was made perfect again after it was recreated and restored.
The Father entrusted everything into the hands of The Son—He had put all things under His Power (see John 3:35).
Now, on the Sixth Day, GOD made man in His own Image and Likeness. Man was made as a visible impression—a close likeness of The Creator.
In other words: like GOD did GOD make man. He made them; male and female.
The Father, Son and The Holy Spirit made man in GOD's Image.
Man is God's crowning creation.
Man was made like his Maker.
GOD gave dominion (power to control) to man over all natural creation. Man received Power to tame beasts.
