Beholding His True Image

Beholding His True Image
When we build our own image of God, we have greatly reduced our potential to see His Glory and be changed into His true Image.
God is much bigger than any one person can ever perceive of. That is why we are told in First Corinthians 13:9 that we “know in part.”

We may think that few in the modern world worship idols, but in truth everyone who does not serve The LORD worships idols.
Many who do worship The LORD still have other idols in their hearts besides graven images.
An idol is not just an object; it is something that we trust in place of God. This can be anything from our professions, the stock market and bank accounts to our own abilities or other people.

Our ministry can even become an idol if we are more devoted to it than we are to God Himself.
