A King of Fierce Countenance

A King of Fierce Countenance
Nimrod, a skilled hunter-warrior became a powerful king. In the ancient world, he became the first of the human kings—the first powerful ruler on earth—of ‘the paganism world.’
From the land of Babylon he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh and other cities (Gen 10:11). In Micah 5:6 Assyria is called "the land of Nimrod."
The origin and meaning of the name Nimrod is uncertain. It is probably Mesopotamian, originating from the Akkadian (northern Babylonian) god of war and hunting, Ninurta, who was called "the Arrow, the mighty hero."
Nimrod was the 13th generation from Adam through Ham; Ham was of the 11th generation.

The first centers of Nimrod’s kingdom were Babylon, Erech, Akkad and Calneh, in Shinar.
And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.
Gen 10:10-12 KJV

Nimrod is the 13th name given in the lineage of Ham. The next statement following this, says:
“And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel…”
This led to the rebellion at the building of the Tower of Babel (read Gen. 11:1-9).

"The Antichrist" will rise in the world as a fierce king—like Nimrod. More to that, he will come on the world stage as a global leader.
He will place a state of siege against Israel and against “the tribulation saints.”
Just as Nimrod had centers of his kingdom in the earth, so will the antichrist have a network of kingdom in the world. His kingdom is “Mystery Babylon the Great” (see Rev. 17:5). The center of his political power will be the European Union (EU), and the capital of his global ecommerce is New York.
His Babylon is rising now—it is the end-time worldwide economic system that enslaves the world through commerce, trade, and unjust usury (interest).
Also rising now is his deception of all false religions that will ultimately ensnare all who forsake Christ.
The foundations of “Mystery Babylon” started in the ancient pagan world, but the foundation built in the Church Age comes out of the replacement theology of the Roman church.
Mystery Babylon is his “tower of Babel.” He is “a king of fierce countenance.” He will come into the Beautiful Land as "the Assyrian" and tread upon the soil and palaces, even desecrating the temple.

Jesus Christ is the only One qualified to defeat and destroy the network of “the beast.” He is the Ruler over all creation, the Shepherd of Israel. He shall come in the Strength of the Lord, in the Majesty of the Name of the Lord His God!
He is our Peace, our Messiah.
But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you are little to be among the clans of Judah; [yet] out of you shall One come forth for Me Who is to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth have been from of old, from ancient days (eternity).
Therefore shall He give them up until the time that she who travails has brought forth; then what is left of His brethren shall return to the children of Israel.
And He shall stand and feed His flock in the Strength of the Lord, in the Majesty of the Name of the Lord His God; and they shall dwell [secure], for then shall He be great [even] to the ends of the earth.
And this [One] shall be our Peace. When the Assyrian comes into our land and treads upon our soil and in our palaces, then will we raise against him seven shepherds and eight princes among men.
And they shall rule and waste the land of Assyria with the sword and the land of Nimrod within her [Assyria's own] gates. Thus shall He [the Messiah] deliver us from the Assyrian [representing the opposing powers] when he comes into our land and when he treads on our borders.
Mic 5:2-6 AMP

The ruler's staff belongs to Him, and the obedience of the nations is His.  Kings and queens will bow down and worship Him; they will open their treasures to Him.
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah,
nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come;
and unto Him shall the gathering of the people be.
Gen 49:10 KJV

He will take away the chariots and the war-horses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim Peace to the nations.
He shall have Dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
Ps 72:8 KJV

When His human birth was foretold by Archangel Gabriel, he said:
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David:
And He shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His Kingdom there shall be no end.

Luke 1:32-33 KJV
