The Presentation of Jesus Christ in the 66 Books of the Bible - Part 3

LEVITICUS
In Leviticus He is “The High Priest.”
There are several comparisons and contrasts between Aaron, the first human-high priest, and Christ, our divine eternal High Priest.
God signified in the Old Covenant that it is the Blood of the Lamb that makes atonement for us.
For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.
Lev 16:30 KJV
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Lev 17:11 KJV

And in the New Testament, Christ Jesus is the Apostle and High Priest of our profession.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Who was faithful to Him that appointed Him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
Heb 3:1-2 KJV

He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself—He was once offered to bear the sins of many.
Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto Salvation.

Heb 9:25-28 KJV
