JOEL
In Joel He is “The
One Who baptizes us with The Holy Spirit.”
Christ promised to send the Holy Spirit after His
ascension to the Father.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go
away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart,
I will send Him unto you.
And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment:
Of sin, because they believe not on Me;
Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and ye see Me no more;
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you
into all Truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall
hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it
unto you.
All things that the Father hath are Mine: therefore said I, that He
shall take of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.

But ye shall receive Power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the Earth.
Acts 1:8 KJV
When this was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost,
Peter said in Acts 2, “This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel,” referring
to Joel 2:28-29.
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit
upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men
shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days
will I pour out My Spirit (KJV).
John the Baptist bore witness to the One Who
baptizes with the Holy Spirit.
"I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will
come One Who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He
will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
Matt 3:11-12 NIV
I would not have known Him, except that the One Who sent me to
baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and
remain is He Who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' I have seen and I testify
that this is the Son of God."
