The Presentation of Jesus Christ in the 66 Books of the Bible - Part 36

In Mark He is “The Servant of The Lord.”
In Mark the Lord is presented as “the Servant of the Lord”— active, compassionate, and obedient; Who constantly ministers to the physical and spiritual needs of others. He said to His disciples:
 “Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:43-45 NIV).

Because this is the story of God’s divine faithful Servant in human-nature, Mark omits Jesus’ ancestry and birth and moves right into His public ministry.
Christ is constantly moving toward a goal that is hidden to almost all. The Gospel According to Mark clearly shows the Power and Authority of the Servant of the Lord.

Jesus is the perfect example of humility.  Although being essentially one with the Father—possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God, but stripped Himself of all divine Privileges, rightful Dignity and Glory, and came to Earth in the likeness of man to redeem man. He carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name:
That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in Earth, and things under the Earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father.
