And He will Reign Over All!
Hallelujah!!!

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:6 KJV

Good Tidings of great joy

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2:7 KJV

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the Angel of the Lord came upon them, and the Glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Luke 2:8-14 KJV

The Presentation of Jesus Christ in the 66 Books of the Bible - Part 44

In Ephesians He is “GOD’s Unsearchable Riches.”
In Ephesians we see the incomparable riches of Jesus.
Anyone born of God is a type of Christ, for we are blessed with “all spiritual blessings in Heavenly Places in Christ” Who is “God’s Unsearchable Riches.”
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly Places in Christ.
Eph. 1:3 KJV
We were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world (v.4). In accordance with the Father’s Will, we are predestined to be adopted as sons of God through Jesus Christ (v.5).
God’s glorious Grace has been freely given to us in the Beloved—namely Christ (v.6).
Our Redemption is through His precious Blood.
In Whom we have Redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His Grace; Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all Wisdom and Prudence; (vv. 7-8 KJV)
He made known to us the Mystery of His Will according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself (v.9).  In Him we have obtained an inheritance (v.11). Our hope is in Him; for we have been appointed to live for the praise of His Glory (v.12).
We are sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of Promise (v.13); by Whom we were quickened [raised to Life] together with Christ (2:5), and taken-up in Glory with Him, and jointly-seated with Him in Heavenly Places (2:6).
We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which He prepared in advance for us to do (2:10). We are made in His own image, brought near by His Blood (2:13).
In Him we are framed like a building; joined together to become a holy temple in the Lord (2:21). Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one Body, and sharers together in the Promise in Christ Jesus. We are jointly partakers of the Promise in Christ (3:6).

We are given access through faith in Him (3:12).

God's Message to Two Churches
Rick Joyner
The Church at Smyrna—“Myrrh”
(Approximately A.D. 100 – 325)
“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life:
“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
“Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death”’ (Revelation 2:8-11 NKJV).
The Lord begins addressing each church by noting a different characteristic of Himself. This is not arbitrary, as each church will experience some aspects of the Lord more than others. The church at Smyrna represents the period in which Christians will suffer almost continuous and widespread persecution—as did the Lord when He walked the earth.
When we read the Gospels, it is hard to find a single thing the Lord said or did that did not stir up criticism and threats. We often think that if our critics would just witness a miracle, they would repent and become supporters. That did not work for Jesus and it rarely works for anyone. The more Power the Lord demonstrated in His ministry, the more the opposition rose up against Him. The Lord performed some miracles so that people would believe Him, but most were simply out of compassion for hurting people.
If He had wanted to use power to convince people that He was sent from God, He could have done more dramatic, spectacular things, like stopping the sun as Joshua did. His miracles were not for that purpose. Rather His nature is to heal, deliver, and restore the afflicted and oppressed. Pursuing healing, miracles, and deliverance is good, but not if we do it to alleviate persecution. “The whole world lies in the power of the evil one” (see I John 5:19) John wrote, meaning most people are under the devil’s influence rather than God’s. The devil does not like seeing people he has afflicted healed and delivered. We need to pursue the power gifts for the sake of doing the work of the Lord, but understand that the more we grow in this power, the greater the opposition.

The Lord also begins by reminding this church that He overcame death. He promised this for all who faithfully follow Him. This church needed to keep this in mind because of what they were facing. This church period would face the most brutal persecution that the most powerful empire in the world could mobilize against the church.
Smyrna means “myrrh,” a primary ingredient in incense. In Scripture, incense typifies prayer and worship. Christians living through this period no doubt lived on prayer as much as on oxygen. The willingness of so many to lay down their lives for the sake of His Gospel was also a “sweet smelling fragrance” to the Lord. Those who do not know the Lord view death as the greatest catastrophe, but to those who live by faith in Him, it is the beginning of a far greater life to be embraced, not feared.
Christians at this time were not just killed in great numbers; they could not hold significant positions or jobs. In many places could not even be merchants. For this reason, to embrace Christ during this time meant almost certain poverty and deprivation. The Lord let them know He was aware of their plight and that they are not poor, but rich. How is that?
Peter wrote that the testing of our faith was more precious than gold. Have you considered that any trial you face in life is like finding a big pot of gold? Those with true faith accept the trials, and even death, as treasure and for the sake of the Lord.
Where is our treasure? As the Lord declared, where we put our treasure indicates where our heart truly lies (see Matthew 6:21). If we place our faith in the eternal purposes of God and we know we have eternal life, we will not be consumed by temporary things and our hearts will be toward the things that last forever. This life is “training for reigning.” The Fruit of the Spirit we grow in now will be a factor determining our eternal position and capacity in basic ways in the Kingdom. So the church of Smyrna was far wealthier than those flushed with the world’s treasures.

The phrase in Revelation 2:8-11 about the blasphemy of those claiming to be Jews but instead were of the synagogue of Satan is obviously not about literal Jews. In those times, every Jew could prove their Jewish heritage through their genealogies. However, under the New Covenant, the Gentile followers of Christ were born again into the family of Abraham, “grafted in” as “spiritual Jews.” During this time of such persecution, some false teachers and ministries sought to take advantage of believers, pretending to have been sent by the Lord. In reality they were sent by the devil, and the Lord recognized that here.

The “tribulation for ten days” likely referred to the Diocletian persecution—the most severe attempt yet to wipe out the church. It lasted ten years from 303 to 313 A.D. After the persecution, this church period ended more abruptly than the others as the Roman Emperor embraced and promoted the faith.
The promise to the overcomers of this church assured that they would not be hurt by the second death—affirming their eternal reward in Christ.

Even though this speaks of a period in history, churches all over the world right now live in this place spiritually, threatened every day with death for their faith. Some of the greatest spiritual treasures are also found in these churches—those rich in faith are truly rich.

Significance of Number 3

GOD’s NUMEROLOGY

“THREE"
Resurrection
The number three is associated with “RESURRECTION.” The evidence is so abundant that there is no excuse for Bible readers not to know this.
Jesus said to His critics, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up” (John 2:19 KJV).
And in verse 22 is stated:
When therefore He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the Scripture, and the Word which Jesus had said (KJV).

In Matthew 12:40 He said,
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the Earth (KJV).
This verse tells us that Our Lord was raised up from the dead three days after He died, and this verse speaks in connection with number three “four times.”
  “…three days and
       …three nights in the whale's belly…
    …three days and
…three nights in the heart of the earth…”

Four times three is 12. This is the Bible number for “Divine Authority,” “Power” and “Rule.” It was this Divine Power of the Spirit of God that brought forth Jesus from the dead.

During Jesus’ ministry on Earth, He raised ‘three’ from the dead. He raised the son of the widow of Nain (Luke 7:15); He raised the daughter of the ruler Jairus (Luke 8:41-55); and He raised Lazarus of Bethany (John 11:43-44).
When He called Lazarus forth from the grave He spoke three words, “Lazarus, come forth.” These are also three words in the Greek language.
Three times Jesus said of those who come to Him and believe on Him, “I will raise him up at the last day.” The first time He said this was in John 6:40, the second time in 6:44 and the third time in 6:54.

At the transfiguration in Luke 9:28-31, Jesus took with Him three of His disciples: Peter, James and John who were to be witnesses to this revelation. He said to the three, “Tell the vision to no man; until the Son of Man be risen from the dead” (Matthew 17:9).
In connection with His trial, death and resurrection, Jesus was denied by Peter three times. He was tried before three courts: Sanhedrin, Pilate and Herod (Matthew 26:57-75, 27:1-25, Luke 23:4-11). He was crucified with two others making three crosses (Matthew 27 to 38). There was an inscription placed on His cross and written in three languages which were Hebrew, Greek and Latin (John 19:20). The sun was darkened for three hours (Matt. 27:45).
The Bible records the names of three women who went to Jesus’ grave the morning of His Resurrection. They were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome (Mark 16:1).
The third time Jesus manifested Himself to His disciples after His Resurrection there was a miraculous draught of fish (John 21:2-14).
All these reveal to us that the number 3 is the Bible’s number for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and His people-the Body of Christ.

There were three dead persons raised to life in the Old Testament. The first instance was when Prophet Elijah raised the dead child of the widow of Zarephath. When Elijah raised the child he stretched his body three times over the child’s body (I Kings 17:21-22).
The second was when Elisha raised the dead child of the Shunammite woman (II Kings 4:16-36). When he raised him he put his mouth on the child’s mouth, his eyes on the child’s eyes and his hand on the child’s hand (verses 34 & 35).
Thirdly, a young man was restored to life when his dead-body was let down into the grave of the prophet Elisha (II Kings 13:21).

Israel killed a Passover lamb, which points to Jesus the Holy Lamb of God (I Cor. 5:7). Three days after the Passover, they journeyed through the Red Sea which signifies death and resurrection (Exodus 8:7; 12:18-27, 14:1-31).

Acts 20:7-12 speaks of Paul raising a young man back to life who had fallen from the third floor of a building. This shows that the number 3 is associated with the Resurrection.

While speaking of the redemption of our bodies, Apostle Paul used the word “ourselves” three times.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body (Romans 8:23 KJV).

Now, a lesson to learn from I Cor.15:35-37.
But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain (KJV).
The word “sow” is emphasized three times in connection with the Resurrection.
The NIV writes this passage this way:
But someone may ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?" How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else.
So, even nature itself bears testimony of ‘the Resurrection’ by numbers.
The first part of a kernel [corn] of wheat is the ‘husk’ from which the bran comes, the second part is the ‘main body’ from which flour comes and the third part is the ‘germ’ from which the vitamins comes. It is the third part of the grain that quickens the sown wheat and produces the new plant.
From this, we know that Jesus is speaking of the necessity of His death and resurrection. He said,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
John 12:24 KJV
So, the three parts to the grain of wheat are sown; the third part which quickens and brings forth new life is nature’s testimony to the Resurrection.

Let’s take a look at what the Scriptures says about “the Millennium” in connection with “the Resurrection.”
“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the First Resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”
Rev 20:4-8 KJV
The Resurrection of Christ and His resurrection body, which are the redeemed by His Blood, is found in this passage.
Counting from the first verse of this chapter, the third time the 1000 years is mentioned is where John said, “They lived and reigned with Christ 1000 years.” Then John goes on to say, “This is the first resurrection.” This tie up the number three to “the Resurrection.”

In God's numerology, the number three is indeed the number of Resurrection!
