In Philippians He is “our Life and Peace.”
Several portraits of Christ are seen in this
epistle. In chapter 1, we see Him as “our Life.” Paul the Apostle stated, “For to me to
live is Christ..." (v.21).
In chapter 2, Christ is “the model of true
humility.”
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…” (2:5
KJV).
Chapter 3 presents Him as the One “…Who will
transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body…”
(v.21).
In chapter 4, He is “the Source of our Strength.”
“I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me” (4:13).
