Willing Offering

Secrets Of The Kingdom
Preparing Your Eternal Dwelling

Acceptable Offering
When you give or do something for the work of GOD that cost you something. When you give to GOD an offering from your 'heart of hearts' He looks on you with Favor like He did with Abel and his offering.

Only the willing receive GOD's Grace of giving.

The LORD usually provides the right and appropriate offering for His Glory. This is scripturally known as "an acceptable offering".

GOD's precious Gift to us is Eternal Life in Christ Jesus (Rom. 6:23). He gave His One And Only Son, so that the world might be saved through Him. When The Son was given, He became GOD’s Gift of Righteousness so that we might reign in Life through Him. He brought for us justification.

GOD has also given to us His special gift: The Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

Money cannot afford to buy the Gift of GOD (Acts 8:20).

GOD's Gift is indescribable (II Cor. 9:15).

The right way for us to render our offering to The LORD is to first dedicate them to The LORD with a clean and willing heart (Lev 22:29).

The acceptable offering to The LORD is spiritual sacrifice –living sacrifice. We are admonished: “…offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship” (Rom 12:1-2).

He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then The Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to The Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.
Mal 3:3-4 NIV

According to I Peter 2, we are are being built into a spiritual house—a holy priesthood.

Do not neglect your spiritual gifts (I Tim. 4:14).  Stir up and fan into flame your spiritual gifts.

GOD's Word recommends reconciliation before our gift can be rendered at the altar (see Matt.5:23).

Every vow we make to The LORD must be fulfilled (read Num. 6:21; Eccl. 5:2).

David, a psalmist who well trusts in GOD says:

I will sacrifice a thank offering toYou
and call on The Name of The Lord.
I will fulfill my vows to The Lord
in the presence of all His people,

in the courts of the house of The Lord —
in your midst, O Jerusalem.
Ps 116:17-19 NIV

Regarding giving to the needy, The LORD gave us the right guideline in the Scriptures:
"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Matt 6:2-4 NIV

Your giving should be generously, and without grudge (I Cor. 9:5). And remember, every good and perfect gift is from above… (James 1:17).

Here are some verses from the Bible regarding our offerings and givings:
A gift opens the way for the giver
and ushers him into the presence of the great.
Prov 18:16 NIV

For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to
what he does not have.
2 Cor 8:12 NIV

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
1 Peter 4:10-11 NIV
