The Two Trumpet Call Events
Part Two
All
those Scriptures you read in Part One concern The Second Coming Of Christ, not
The Rapture. They relate to the antichrist, the Great Tribulation, the Battle
of Armageddon, the Judgment of the Nations and the setting up of the Millennial
Kingdom, etc. This is when Christ comes back to earth with His saints.
At
the end of the perilous times would be The Return Of Christ The Messiah.
For as lightning that
comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the Coming of The
Son Of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.
"Immediately
after the distress of those days
"'the sun will be
darkened,
and the moon will not
give its light;
the stars will fall
from the sky,
and the heavenly
bodies will be shaken.'
"At that time the
Sign of The Son Of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth
will mourn. They will see The Son Of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with
Power and Great glory. And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet Call,
and they will gather His Elect from the four winds, from one end of
the heavens to the
other.
"Now learn this
lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come
out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you
know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation
will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and
earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Matt 24:27-35 NIV
A
deeper insight into Scriptural study on The Coming Of The Son Of Man was
recorded in Luke 21:25-28 which parallels with the above passage in Matthew 24.
"There will be signs in the sun, moon and
stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring
and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is
coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they
will see The Son Of Man coming in a cloud with Power and Great Glory. When
these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your
Redemption is drawing near." (NIV)
The earth will have a terrible visitation of
The LORD’s Army described in Joel 2.
The
Rapture is when Christ comes in the air, for His bride (the saints), to take
them to Heaven. There will be at least seven years between this event and His
Second Coming.
We
will study some passages of the Scriptures concerning the Rapture shortly, but
first turn to Luke 21:25-26, 36.
Jesus
alludes to the Rapture here in verse 36. Jesus tells His listeners that there
is a way to escape the horrendous events of the Great Tribulation He was
describing in verses 25-26. The only way to escape them though is to be removed
from the earth beforehand, because they will affect everyone on earth. This
also proves the Rapture will precede the Great Tribulation.
Read
these Words of Jesus’ comfort to His disciples:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust
also in Me. In My Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would
have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you
also may be where I am.”
John 14:1-3 NIV
