The
Bond and The Free
“Cast out ‘the bondwoman and her
son, for ‘the son of the bondwoman’ shall not be heir with ‘the son of the
freewoman’”
(Ref. Gen.21:10)
First,
in the picture is, ‘the bondwoman,’ next is, ‘the son of the bondwoman,’ then,
‘the son of the freewoman’ and lastly, ‘the free woman.’
‘The
bondwoman’ is the religious church which has its roots from Mount Sinai in
Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem [with the Jewish traditions] which now is
in bondage with her children.
The
law gives birth to bondage.
‘The
son of the bondwoman’ was born according to ‘the flesh’—with worldly desires,
and bears the yoke of this world.
‘The
son of the freewoman’ is given birth through ‘the Promise.’
We are not children of ‘the
bondwoman’ but of ‘the free’ (Gal.4:31).
“…whatsoever is born of God
overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even
our faith.”

The
Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all (Gal. 4:26).
If you belong to Christ, then you
are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the Promise.

Law
and Grace cannot coexist.
To
be totally free from “the bondwoman”—‘the religious church,’ we must cast her
out. We must also cast out ‘her son’ which is the product of religion—worldly
desires and the burdens of this world.
And they that are
Christ's have crucified the flesh with
the affections and
lusts.
If we live in The
Spirit, let us also walk in The Spirit.
