The Middle East Peace Talk in the Light of Prophecy

The Middle East Peace Talk in the Light of Prophecy

The Middle East has played major roles in the fulfillment of Bible prophecies.
Still to come is the final “peace treaty” that will be signed by “the antichrist” between Israel and the Arab nations.
The present “Middle East peace-talk” that started since 1991 after “the Gulf War” has a prophetic objective which is to fulfill “‘the 70th Week’ of Daniel’s Prophecy of Seventy Weeks.”

In A.D. 70 Israel was dispersed to other nations of the world—even as Jesus Christ—the Messiah was crucified back in A.D.33.
Israel is a nation chosen by God, and set in the midst of nations in the Middle East.
Thus saith the Lord God; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.
Ezekiel 5:5 KJV

The modern Jewish land of Israel was first occupied by the Arabs, and later, by the Turks.
In the course of time, God permitted the First World War—World War I.  When this world war broke out, the Turks were overthrown, and removed from the land. God allowed this in order to make possible the reoccupation by Israel. The historic fact that, Turkey ceased fighting and retreated from battle immediately as the Euphrates River was reached, is an indication of amazing act of God.

Abraham had been promised the land between the River of Egypt and the Euphrates River.
In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates
Genesis 15:18 KJV

When the tribes of Israel were dispossessed from their land, the Arabs settled in it for centuries.
Lord Balfour expressed the conviction that the founding of the Jewish National State was the most significance of the 1st World War. The war came to an abrupt end all over the world on November 11th 1918, and this fulfilled God’s Purpose.
God will keep and fulfill His Word—His promise to Israel to bring them back, and restore them to their homeland.

In Germany, Adolf Hitler began the persecution of the Jews, which led to the Second World War (WWII) during which a total number of 6 million Jews were killed. Peril of the “Second World War” persuaded the Jews to return to their homeland.
Therefore, the two world wars have had only one positive result—“The Holy Land” becoming what Ezekiel called “the center of the nations” (Ezekiel 5:5).
Chapter 38 verse 12 also says:
I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land."
NIV

Israel is “the center of the land”—“the center of the earth.” This portion of the earth extends to Palestine, today.

The Gulf War of 1991 paved way for the Middle East “Peace Talk” to commence—this was ‘an endtime sign.’ In 1990, Saddam Hussein of Iraq annexed Kuwait, and the United States opposed him vehemently. Many Arab countries were also against him, and they allied with the US to force Saddam out of Kuwait. In fact the crux of the matter is “the Palestinia Question.” Then, on this basis, the Arab countries had to secure America’s guarantee that immediately after the Gulf War, the Middle East “Peace Talk” will commence.
In 1991, after the Gulf War, the first “Peace Talk” was held in Madrid, Spain—co-sponsored by USA, Russia and European Union.
But in the course of time, the United States Of America spearheaded the entire “peace process.”
In these “latter times,” the EU will also play key roles in the “peace process” in fulfillment of Bible prophecy—even as she brought about the entire ‘process.’

Definitely, a would-be European Union ‘leader’ under a political and economic unification is the one that will sign a “7 year peace treaty” with Israel and her Arab neighbors, just as the Bible prophesied. That man is “the antichrist.” So, as events unfold in the Middle East, expect the European Union to fulfill this prophecy.
Immediately the final “peace treaty” is signed in the Middle East, the world will rejoice that “peace” has finally come to this region—being the most volatile region of the world.

I Thessalonians 5:3 says:
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
KJV

According to Bible prophecy, this “peace” will not last; as a result of the Great Tribulation that will follow.
After this ‘peace-treaty’ is signed, one of the first things that will happen is the creation of the Palestinian State, whereby Israel will recognize “the State of Palestine,” and vice versa. There will be “peace” between the two countries. Israel will relax her security because the suicide bombings will abate.
At this juncture, an alliance of nations will unite against Israel. They are countries that hate Israel—they will invade Israel.
This prophecy is contained in the book of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39.
The Word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him and say: 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army — your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops — the many nations with you.
"'Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.
"'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people — all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land." Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?" '
"Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when My people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, O Gog, I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I show Myself Holy through you before their eyes.
Ezekiel 38:1-16 NIV

“Gog and Magog” is Russia. “Mechech;” the city of Moscow, and “Tubal;” Tobolsk.
Russia sprawls across eastern Europe and northern Asia. And is almost twice the size of the next largest country, Canada.
“The prince of Rosh” is the principality assigned by satan over Russia. Note also that, “Gog and Magog” are demons of war and violence stirring this nation to war and conflicts against other nations, and against Israel. “Gog” is chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.
Russia—“Gog and Magog”; Iran—“Persia”; Ethiopia and Libya; “Gomer” and all its troops (probably China); and the house of “Togarmah” from the far north and all its troops (likely North Korea)—many armies from across “the Russian satellites,” will all unite against Israel.

“Gog and Magog” will think an evil thought, and will like to revamp her economy—so that she may flourish like the days of the old “Soviet Union.”

When Israel finally recovers, as the tribes are gathered from many nations to “the Glorious Land,” Gog from the far north with all “his” forces will invade Israel. They will go up with many nations advancing like a storm; like a cloud covering the Land.
God said in His Word that He will bring them from the far north, against “the mountains of Israel.”
"Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel.
Ezekiel 39:1-2 NIV

God’s Word in this prophecy declares that the moment these ‘foreign forces’ get to the boarder of Israel, He will supernaturally destroy them.
"'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Are you not the one I spoke of in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel? At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, My hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord. In My zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at My Presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. I will summon a Sword against Gog on all My mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man's sword will be against his brother. I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. And so I will show My Greatness and My Holiness, and I will make Myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.'
Ezekiel 38:17-23NIV

The LORD declares that by His zeal and fiery wrath, at that time, there shall be a great earthquake in the Land of Israel—and the earth will tremble at His Presence. He will summon a “Sword” against “Gog” on all His mountains. “The LORD Of Hosts” will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on “Gog” and on his troops and on the many nations with him.
