NAMES OF GOD
His glorious NAMES, designated Titles and divine Office.

The English word: God is translated from the Hebrew word, Elohim—which is a noun implying more than One in unity.
One God composed of more than One divine Person.

The Name Of The Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Proverbs 18:10 KJV

The Lord, The God of Hosts
The Lord God Almighty

For, lo, He that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is His thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord, The God of hosts, is His Name.
Amos 4:13 KJV

In the NIV Bible “The Lord, The God of Hosts” is referred to as “The Lord God Almighty”:
He Who forms the mountains,
creates the wind,
and reveals His thoughts to man,
He Who turns dawn to darkness,
and treads the high places of the earth —
The Lord God Almighty is His Name.

And the CJB refers to “The Lord God Almighty” as Adonai Elohei-Tzva’ot:
Him Who forms mountains and creates wind,
Who declares to humankind His thoughts,
Who turns the morning to darkness
and strides on the heights of the earth —
Adonai Elohei-Tzva’ot is His Name.”

THE LORD, THE GOD OF HOSTS is the One Who formed the mountains, made the winds, and knows the every thought of man; HE turns the morning to darkness and crushes down the mountains underneath HIS feet.
HE treads “the high places of the earth” and HE reveals HIS Divine Will to man.
HE is The Lord God All-Powerful!

GOD's Purpose in dealing with man is not for humiliation, but for transformation.
He had by several tokens intimated to incorrigible Israel His displeasure, with this design, that they might by repentance make their peace with Him; but it had not that effect.

The natural man is unruly and unmanageable— several times corrected, but in vain; not yet reclaimed, with no sign of amendment— sent for by one messenger after another, but has not come to repentance.
If men had returned to their GOD, they would have been accepted, He would have bidden them welcome, and the troubles they were in would have been removed.

The reason why God sent further troubles to Israel was because former troubles had not done the work; otherwise it is no pleasure to The LORD GOD Almighty that He should afflict.

He was grieved at their obstinacy, and took it unkindly that they should force Him to do that which He did so unwillingly.
They refused to return to Him from Whom they had revolted; to Him with Whom they were in Covenant with.
Man usually turns away from Him Who stands ready to receive him; people often run away from God the One Who have so often called.

The Lord of Hosts is enthroned between the cherubim.
He is the God of the armies of Israel.
He gives Power and Grace to His people.

No man can fathom the Mysteries of God (see Job 11:7).
He punishes wicked traitors (see Psa. 59:5).
He is the One Who restores us and makes His face shine upon us, that we may be saved (see Ps 80:7).
"Hallelujah!

For our Lord God Almighty reigns"(see Rev. 19:6).
