We became anointed the moment we were born again.
Christ is “the Anointed One;” Christians are His ‘anointed ones.’ This is the first anointing.
There is a
second anointing. The second anointing, which is higher, is the priestly anointing.
This is the anointing for ministry. Aaron was anointed for his priestly
ministry.
The apostles received this anointing on the Day of
Pentecost.
This is the anointing that enables us to serve the
Lord.
The third anointing
is the kingly anointing…the anointing for kings—the anointing for complete and
full authority in Christ Jesus. This anointing enables you to get the
strongholds and pull them down.
David was anointed three times: first, he was
anointed by Samuel with the horn of oil. Secondly, he was anointed when he
became king over Judah. The third anointing came when he was made king over all
Israel, and then he took the strongholds.
You cannot operate on yesterday’s experience. You
must have today’s experience—a fresh anointing!
