The
LORD’s Attributes & Personality
Throughout the
Scriptures as in reality in life, we discover that The LORD has AWESOME
ATTRIBUTES & MAJESTIC PERSONALITY.
The High and Lofty One
For thus saith the High and Lofty One that inhabiteth eternity,
Whose Name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is
of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to
revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Isa 57:15 KJV
THE HIGH AND LOFTY ONE is He Who lives forever.
He is the Exalted One. His NAME is Holy—the
LORD is His Name (Ex.15:3). He lives in a high and holy place—He roars from on
high (Jer. 25:30).
The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
His Glory above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God,
the One Who sits enthroned on high,
Who stoops down to look
on the heavens and the earth?
Ps 113:4-6 NIV
He dwells with the humble and gentle. The sacrifices
of God are a broken spirit (Ps 51:17).
Our Lord Jesus said in Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are
the poor in spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven" (KJV).
He esteems the humble and contrite in spirit, that trembles
at His Word (Isa 66:2). He said, “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I
will give you Rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and
lowly in heart: and ye shall find Rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy,
and My burden is light (Matt 11:28-30 KJV).
The Lord has exalted above all things His Name and
His Word (Ps 138:2). His
splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
Jesus Christ is the One highly exalted, and given
the Name which is above every name (Phil. 2:9). The Father exalted Him to His
own right hand as Prince and Savior (Acts 5:31).
In ancient times, Prophet Isaiah saw Him “seated on a throne, high and exalted, and
the train of His robe filled the temple” (Isa 6:1).
He has a Day in which He will deal with the proud
and lofty; they shall be brought low (Isa. 2:12). The
arrogance of man will be brought low and the pride of men humbled; man's
civilization will come to an end.
