GOD’s NUMEROLOGY
"ONE"
UNITY
One is the number for “UNITY.”
The word "UNITY" comes from the Latin word
“unus” meaning “ONE.”
One represents “ELOHIM” [GOD]. The word “Elohim” is
a noun implying more than One in Unity—One GOD composed of three divine Persons—the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The Lord our God is one Lord (Deut 6:4 KJV).
GOD created man in His own Image, and after His
Likeness.
And God said, Let Us
make man in Our Image, after our Likeness: and let them have dominion over the
fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over
all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in
His own Image, in the Image of God created He him; male and female created He
them.
Gen 1:26-27
When a man is cleaved unto [united to] his wife,
they both become “one flesh.”
Therefore shall a man
leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall
be one flesh.
Gen 2:24 KJV
In the sight of God, the man and his wife are
unified as “one flesh.”
Our Lord Jesus taught in Matthew 19, that they are
no longer two, but one flesh (v.6).
If a man and a woman have sexual union outside
marriage, both become defiled. A man who unites himself with a prostitute is
one with her in body. The two become one flesh.
What? Know ye not that
he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith He, shall be one
flesh.
1 Cor. 6:16 KJV
Christ and the Church are “one body”— celestial
body.
For we are members of
His body, of His flesh,
and of His bones.
Eph 5:30 KJV
But he that is joined
unto the Lord is one Spirit.
1 Cor. 6:17 KJV
In verse 32 of Ephesians 5, Apostle Paul said this
is “a profound mystery.”
Christ purchased the Church with His own Blood (Acts
20:28), and sanctified and cleansed it with the washing of water by the Word
(Eph. 5:26), that He might present it to Himself glorious and unblemished (Eph.
5:27; Col. 1:21-22).
A man and his wife are joint together to become “one
flesh” through sex, Christ and His bride—the Church are unified as “one Spirit”
through worship in the Spirit.
By this union, the man and wife become “one flesh,”
just as through worship, we become one Spirit with God—not two spirits, but one
Spirit.
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit agree as
One.
For there are three
that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these
three are One.
And there are three that
bear witness in Earth, the Spirit, and the Water, and the Blood: and these
three agree in One.
1 John 5:7-8 KJV
In the Bible number “one” stands for “Unity.”
In John 17:20-22 Jesus prayed for the unity of His
people.
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who
will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father,
just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world
may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the Glory that you gave
Me, that they may be one as We are One: I in them and You in Me. May they be
brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have Loved
them even as You have Loved Me.
John 17:20-23 NIV
Jesus prayed that we should be one; one body, one
mind, one heart and one spirit.
In Acts 4:32, we understand that our unity in the
Spirit results in divine harmony, peace and fellowship.
All the believers were
one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own,
but they shared everything they had (NIV).
And in verse 33, it states:
With great power the
apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much Grace
was upon them all.
In Ephesians 4:1-6 there is a "seven-fold"
Unity.
This ‘seven-fold’ is complete unity. The number
seven denotes completeness, or perfection of God.
As a prisoner for the
Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
There is one body and one Spirit— just as you were called to one hope when you
were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, Who
is over all and through all and in all.
Eph 4:1-6 NIV
Love binds all other virtues in perfect unity in the
life of a regenerated person (Col 3:14).
How good and pleasant
it is when brothers live together in unity!
Ps 133:1 NIV
When the body of Christ reaches ‘unity in the faith
and in the knowledge of the Son of God,’ we shall attain the whole measure of
‘the fullness of Christ’ (read Eph 4:12-13).
This unity is in the Spirit. Unity in the Spirit
produces harmony, so that we may unanimously with united hearts and one voice,
worship and glorify God.
At a time when the whole world had one language—when
mankind was of one accent, then, men built “the Tower of Babel” (Gen. 11:1-9).
In verse 6, the Lord said, "If as one
people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they
plan to do will be impossible for them (NIV).
They were building for themselves a city, with a
tower intended to reach the heavens so that they may make a name for themselves
and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth. God saw that they were
achieving this because they were all of ‘one mode of expression’—they all
collaborated as one.
God Almighty knew that they had begun to exploit
their linguistic and political unity, and therefore, nothing would be
unattainable for them! They had one
universal language!
So, He confounded (mixed up, confused) their
language that they may not understand one another's speech.
