STEPS TO WINNING
Your Loved Ones to JESUS
We have no
greater calling than to share salvation with others, beginning with those we
love most. Here are easy steps you can take, beginning today:
1. Stand on God’s guarantee for the salvation
of your family. The Philippian jailer who guarded Paul and Silas during a
violent earthquake pleaded, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30).
He was told, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and
thy house” (verse 31). Look at what happened next: “They spake unto him the
word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house” (verse 32). Each of your
loved ones has free will, of course, but you can begin to claim God’s promises
for them.
2. Pray for lost loved ones to be saved.
Interceding for the lost and hurting is a mighty calling. It’s natural to begin
with a desire to reach out to loved ones. The Bible tells us, “The Son of man
is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). Claim that
promise!
3. Take authority over the forces of evil.
The battle for souls must be won in the spiritual realm before it can be won in
the physical realm, for “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). Take authority
over the enemy. Prepare to dominate the dominator and torment the tormentor!
