The Author of the New Birth

The Holy Spirit is the Author of the new birth.

The Scriptures states:
“…The Spirit gives birth to spirit” (John 3:6-7).

What is born of the Spirit is spirit.
The ‘son born of The Spirit’ is fearfully and wonderfully made
( Psa 139:14).

For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.

I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in Your Book
before one of them came to be.

Ps 139:13-16 NIV

He made you so wonderfully complex, His workmanship of you is marvelous and intricate.
This is the awful wonder of your spiritual birth.
He embroidered your life with colors and was able to see you as an embryo.

Our new birth came through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, by The Spirit.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great Mercy He has given us new birth into a living
hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
1 Peter 1:3-4 NIV

King James Version states that:  "...according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us..."

The new birth by The Spirit is regeneration of our spirits, transformation of our souls and renewal of our minds.

It is His boundless mercy that has given us the privilege of being born again so that we are now members of God's own Family.
We have been given new and more vigorous Life--the Eternal Life of GOD.
This Life which is spiritual nature is GOD's Gift to all who are reborn in Christ.

Christ is The Head of the New Creation; for He is The FirstBorn of all creation (Col.1:15), and The FirstBorn from among the dead (v.18).
This is why we are conformed to the likeness of GOD’s Son (Rom.8:29).

The moment a sinner repents and receives Jesus Christ by faith into his heart, he or she becomes a child of God.
When a child of God receives The Holy Spirit, he or she becomes baptized in The Spirit. ‘The child’ now matures into a state of sonship—only at this state can he cry: “Abba, Father”.
When he just became converted, he needed to learn the Ways of the LORD; but, the moment he was baptized in The Spirit, he received the grace and ability to walk in the Ways of GOD’s Direction—seeking only The Will of The Father.

When Jesus The Son Of GOD, prayed in the agony of His soul in Gethsemane to The Father, He said:
"Abba, Father, everything is possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will."
Mark 14:36 NIV

This was so because Jesus had The Spirit Of Sonship. He has also given us this same Spirit Of Sonship, that we may be able to cry, "Abba, Father" by Him.
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of Sonship. And by Him we cry, "Abba, Father."
Romans 8:15-16 NIV

Because you are sons, God sent The Spirit of His Son into our hearts, The Spirit Who calls out, "Abba, Father."
Galatians 4:6-7 NIV

We can only pray for His Will in our lives when we pray in The Spirit.
We who are ‘the children of His Promise’ were bought at a price; purchased for GOD, by The Blood of The Lamb.

The Holy Spirit seals GOD’s sons for the Day of Redemption (Eph. 4:30). He is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance (Eph.1:14).
We now eagerly await for our adoption as sons; our manifestation as God's sons (His possession).
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of The Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Rom 8:22-24 NIV
