The Gifts Of The Holy Spirit
The
Gift Of Miracles
Performance Against
the Law of Nature.
From eternity past God performed wonders which the
human mind can never fathom, and His miracles cannot be counted.
Miracles perform against the law of nature—they
accomplish God’s Will and Purposes.
This one and only gift destroys every obstacle of
satan. Miracles are witness—testimony of the Power of Jesus. They are witness
to His saving Grace — they are great Power that testifies of the Resurrection
of Jesus.
And with great Power gave the apostles witness of the
Resurrection of The Lord Jesus:
and great Grace was upon
them all.
Acts 4:33 KJV
All the forces of hell and even satan himself cannot
stand against the Power of the miraculous.
With such great Power the apostles continued to
testify to the Resurrection of The Lord Jesus, and much Grace was upon them. This
was as a result of The Master’s Promise:
“But ye shall receive Power,
after that The Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me
both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria,
and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 KJV
The Spirit poured out abundance of Grace upon them,
such as qualified them for great services, by enduing them with great Power;
this came upon them from on high in Acts chapter 2.
By this great Power the apostles attested the
Resurrection of Jesus Christ with great courage—they published and avowed the
Message of the Cross as they confessed The Lord Jesus publicly.
This awesome Power recommended them to the Favor of
GOD, as being in His sight of great price. Everyone saw a beauty and excellence
in them.
Miracles demonstrate that Jesus died for our
sins—that He rose for our justification that we may inherit Eternal Life.
With miracles (great strength, ability and Power)
the apostles gave proof of the Resurrection of The Lord Jesus; they delivered
their testimony for this is the point that was particularly to be proved: that
He died and rose again from the dead, many knew; but it was necessary to give
such proofs as a witness to all.
Paul declares:
For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of Power.
1 Cor. 4:20 NIV
Miracles are undeniable!
Even When Peter and John were brought before the
council of the rulers and the high priest, they asked themselves:
"What are we going to do with these men? Everybody living
in Jerusalem knows they have done an outstanding miracle, and we cannot deny
it”
Acts 4:16 NIV
Even today, we preach the Resurrection of Christ,
and miracles are witness to His awesome Power. God Himself, in us, bearing
witness too.
