The spirit of heaviness

Grieve, constant depressive mood, bitterness, despair, resentment, hopelessness, rejection, and self-pity are all under the influence of the spirit of heaviness.
Most people who are addicted to smoking, alcohol, drugs and gluttony are subjected to the spirit of heaviness.

The aim of the spirit of heaviness is to bring sadness, depression, grief, and sorrow—to quench the Joy of The Spirit in you. The enemy knows that if you lose this Joy, you will not be able to access GOD’s Throne of Grace, and if this occurs, you will not be able to receive new revelations, and new anointing.

How to overcome the spirit of heaviness

The remedy for relieve from the spirit of heaviness is found in
Isaiah 61:1-3:
The Spirit of The Lord God is upon me; because The Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of The Lord, and The Day of Vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the Oil of Joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of The Lord,
that He might be glorified.
(KJV)

The Holy Spirit is The One Who qualifies you to preach the Gospel.

Praise drives away heaviness of heart. The Joy of The Lord enables you to grow in His Grace. But, heaviness of heart breaks your link with Heaven. It is extremely difficult for a sad heart to hear the Voice of GOD.
Our Redeemer is called The Messiah, The Christ, because He was anointed with the Oil of Joy (Gladness) above his fellows.
By GOD's ordnance and appointment He came as Preacher (Publisher, Bringer) of good news (good tidings) and executed the office of the Greater Prophet. He came to bind up the brokenhearted. That’s why in Matthew 11, when John heard in prison what Christ was doing, then sent his disciples to ask Him,
   "Are you The One Who was to come, or should we expect someone else?"

He replied,
   "Go back and report to John what you hear and see:
    The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have   leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.

As Isaiah was authorized and directed to proclaim liberty to the Jews in Babylon, so Christ, The Son of Man, came and published a more joyful jubilee to a lost world. And even we ourselves; who are “the called according to His Purpose” are given “the ministry of reconciliation.”
Christ was fitted and qualified for this work: The Spirit Of The Lord was upon Him. He had The Spirit always resting on Him without measure.
The prophets had The Spirit Of God moving them at times, both instructing them what to say—exciting them to say it, and as well what to do.

Today, the same Spirit Of Counsel and Power is given to us. We are to pray to GOD (not for a double portion anointing, but,) to release His Holy Spirit to us without measure. All who have received the Commission of Jesus to “go into the world and preach the Gospel,” should ask for The Holy Spirit, for He is ‘The Spirit Of Wisdom and of Understanding,’ The Spirit Of  Counsel and of Power (Isa. 11:2) by Whom we bring the good tidings of Jesus Christ.
