NEHEMIAH
In Nehemiah He is “the Rebuilder of everything that is broken.”
Nehemiah portrays
Christ in His ministry of Restoration. He illustrates Christ in that he gives
up a high position in order to identify with the plight of his people; he comes
with a specific mission and fulfills it; and his life is characterized by
prayerful dependence upon God.
So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in
fifty-two days. When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding
nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that
this work had been done with the help of our God.

God is the Builder of everything—only what Christ
builds stands!
Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as
the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. For every house
is built by someone, but God is the Builder of everything.
