GOD’s NUMEROLOGY
“FIVE"
Grace
Five stands for “GRACE.”
The word “Grace” occurs five times in Romans 11:5-6,
while the word “work” is found only four times. This is only seen in the King
James Version.
Even so then at this
present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
And if by grace, then
is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of
works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work (KJV).
Grace is unmerited Favor by God predestined for the
heirs of Salvation who were called and chosen according to His Divine Will and
Purpose.
Who hath saved us, and
called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to
His own Purpose and Grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world
began
2 Tim 1:9 KJV
The natural man, who is represented by the number “four,”
depends upon his works for Salvation. The children of God depend on Grace which
is by faith in the Lord. Grace is represented by the number 5.
The word “grace” also occurs five times in Exodus
33:12-17. This was in a conversation between God and Moses, just after Israel
had sinned in making a golden calf.
Again, you will find this out only in the KJV.
And Moses said unto
the Lord, See, Thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and Thou hast not let
me know whom Thou wilt send with me. Yet Thou hast said, I know thee by name,
and Thou hast also found Grace in My sight.
Now therefore, I pray
thee, if I have found Grace in Thy sight, shew me now Thy Way, that I may know
Thee, that I may find Grace in Thy sight: and consider that this nation is Thy
people.
And He said, My Presence
shall go with thee, and I will give thee Rest.
And he said unto Him,
If Thy Presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
For wherein shall it
be known here that I and Thy people have found Grace in Thy sight? is it not in
that Thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and Thy people, from all the
people that are upon the face of the earth.
And the Lord said unto
Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found
Grace in My sight, and I know thee by name.
KJV
In the 32nd and 33rd chapters
of Exodus, “Grace” was revealed after the Law had been broken (even though it
was not in the dispensation of Grace) and here, the word “grace” appears five
times in our Lord’s conversation with Moses, Israel’s intercessor at that time.
Apostle Paul proved that there is no justification
by the Law and that the Law pronounced the whole world guilty before God, but
the glorious Truth of men being justified, and set free is by God’s Grace.
What then? are we
better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and
Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
Rom 3:9 KJV
Now we know that what
things soever the Law saith, it saith to them who are under the Law: that every
mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds
of the Law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the Law is
the knowledge of sin.
But now the Righteousness
of God without the Law is manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the
prophets;
Even the Righteousness
of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that
believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned,
and come short of the Glory of God;
Being justified freely
by His Grace through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Rom 3:19-24 KJV
The fifth time the name of Noah appears is where it
is said that, “Noah found Grace in the
eyes of the Lord” (Genesis 6:8).
The name of Ruth is found the fifth time in Ruth 2:2
and it says:
And Ruth the Moabitess
said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him
in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
Ruth 2:2 KJV
Even when the name of Boaz occurred the fifth time,
something remarkable of “grace” was said:
Then said Boaz unto
Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither
go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:
Let thine eyes be on
the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the
young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the
vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.
Then she fell on her
face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found
grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a
stranger?
Ruth 2:8-10 KJV
Young David found favor in the eyes of King Saul,
and this was revealed the fifth time the name of David was mentioned in
Scripture.
And Saul sent to
Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found
favour in my sight.
1 Sam 16:22 KJV
The fifth time the word “God” is found in the book
of Ephesians it is connected with “Grace.”
But God, Who is rich
in Mercy, for His great Love wherewith He Loved us,
Even when we were dead
in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by Grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:4-5 KJV
In this passage, when the word “grace” occurred the
fifth time; here is what was said:
For by Grace are ye
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:8 KJV
How fitting it is that the words “much more” are
found the fifth time in Romans 5, where it said, “…But
where sin abounded, Grace did much more abound: (v.20 KJV).
And in verse 21, is stated:
That as sin hath
reigned unto death, even so might Grace reign through Righteousness unto
Eternal Life by Jesus Christ our Lord (KJV).
The Five-Fold Ministry was given to equip the Church
of Christ for greater works. This is given to the Church as a result of God’s
Divine Grace.
And He gave some,
apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and
teachers;
For the perfecting of
the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of
Christ:
Eph 4:11-12 KJV
II Corinthians 8:7 shows five things preceding the
word “Grace”:
Therefore, as ye
abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all
diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
2 Cor 8:7 KJV
Paul prayed to the Lord three times for the thorn to
depart out of his flesh. God said to him, “My Grace is
sufficient for thee: for My Strength is made perfect in weakness” (KJV). Read II Cor. 12:7-9.
In this statement, there are five Greek words.
Because of what the Lord said, Paul went on to say,
Therefore I take
pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in
distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Cor 12:10 KJV
Note ‘the five words’ in this passage of Scripture:
infirmities, reproaches, necessities, persecutions, and distresses.
John 1:17 states, “…Grace
and Truth came by Jesus Christ.”
Isaiah mentioned five Names Christ would be called, “…His Name shall be called (1) Wonderful,
(2) Counselor, (3) Mighty God, (4) Everlasting Father, (5) Prince of Peace”
(Isaiah 9:6).
When David went out in faith to meet Goliath the
giant, he took five smooth stones out of the brook (I Sam. 17:40). This
represents “Grace.”
In Romans 8:28-30, we find (1) foreknowledge, (2)
predestination, (3) calling, (4) justification and (5) glorification connected with
God’s Purpose concerning His people.
