THE BOOK OF REVELATION
Part 28
The War on Earth
~ ~ ~
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the Earth, he
persecuted the Woman which brought forth the man Child.
And to the Woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she
might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a
time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the
Woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
And the Earth helped the Woman, and the Earth opened her mouth,
and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
And the dragon was wroth with the Woman, and went to make war
with the remnant of her seed, which keep the Commandments of God, and have the
Testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 12:13-17 KJV
This is a future war—“the War on Earth.”
The great red dragon which ‘prevailed not’ and was ‘cast
out of the second heaven’; now realizes that he has been cast into the Earth. Now,
he is having great wrath knowing that he has but a short time.
Satan now goes after the Woman—he persecutes the
Woman as never before. The “Woman” is Zion “which
brought forth the man Child.”
The man Child is “the
divine Son of God” who came into the world as “the Son of Man”—who is to
Rule all nations with a rod of iron.
He is the man Child for He is “the Seed of the Woman”.
The devil now brings his highly strategic and
diplomatic persecution against the Church and against the nation of Israel, by
way of oppression and tyranny; he does this through “the gates of hell” (the
governments of Satan’s administration and control) in this present-day of “the
minor tribulation.”
The Tribulation is a continuity of the Great War
which began in heaven [the universe].
But just before the dragon’s persecution against
“the Woman” becomes extreme, “the Bride of Christ” is whisked away to Heaven,
and then “the Elect” will go into hiding in the wilderness, and so “the Woman”
will be kept out of the serpent's reach.
And to the Woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she
might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a
time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent (v. 14 KJV).
Deliverance here, for ‘the Israel that is by faith’
is similar to the deliverance of the children of Israel in Exodus, where God delivered
the Jews from Egypt “on the wings of eagles.”
God delivers “the Elect” in a similar manner to the
one He delivered the people of Israel from Egypt.
‘The dragon’ won’t be able to devour “the Elect”
[the 144,000 Sealed].
“The War on
Earth” has already begun. This Bible-prophesied “war” will roll into what the
modern scholar of political science and history call “The Third World War”
(WWIII).
The serpent spews water like a river, to overtake
“the Woman” and sweep her away with the torrent (v.15).
[But] “When
the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a
standard against him (Isa 59:19 KJV).
“The flood” that “the serpent” cast out of his mouth
after “the Woman” is figuratively: military forces [multitude]—armies of the Antichrist
which will lay siege to “the Elect.” Then, “the Elect” goes into hiding in the
wilderness.
In verse 16, the Earth helped “the Woman,” by
opening its mouth, and swallowed the flood which “the dragon” cast out of his
mouth.
Figuratively, ‘the opening of the Earth’s mouth’
would be an earthquake—a great earthquake that will swallow up the armies of
Satan.
After “the dragon” can’t get “the Woman,”
he-in-a-rage goes out to make war on “the remnant of her seed” (v.17)—“the
tribulation saints” who hold on to their testimony for Jesus and keep the
Commandments of God, during the time of “the Great Tribulation.”
After “the Doors of Grace” are shut against the
world as “the Rapture” takes place, the 144,000 Sealed will find “Grace” and
then, the Great Multitude in White Robes will be slain for the Word of God and
for their testimony for Jesus.
