THE BOOK OF REVELATION
Part 44
The Great White Throne Judgment
~ ~ ~
Then I saw a great white Throne and Him Who was seated on it.
Earth and sky fled from His Presence, and there was no place for them. And I
saw the dead, great and small, standing before the Throne, and books were
opened. Another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. The dead were
judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave
up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in
them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and
Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If
anyone's name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the
lake of fire.
Rev 20:11-15 NIV
At “The Great White Throne Judgment,” the Righteous
King will judge the dead, great and small. He will judge with Righteousness and
Equity.
He will judge the inhabitants of the Earth, but He
will judge the dead, at the proper time.
He will judge the righteous and He will judge the
wicked.
Second Peter 3:7 informed us that by God’s Word the
present firmament and the Earth are reserved for destruction by fire, being
kept for ‘the Day of Judgment.’
This refers to “The Great White Throne Judgment.”
The dead, great and small, shall stand before “The
Great White Throne Judgment” (Rev 20:12)—the ungodly shall be destroyed (see II
Pet. 3:7).
Death is the loss or expiry of life; separation of
the spirit and soul from the natural body.
Hades (Gk.) [Sheol] (Heb.) is the state of death or
disembodied existence.
Death and Hades shall be cast into the lake of fire
(Rev. 20:14).
Other supernatural abodes that God will destroy are ‘the
Abyss’ and “Tartarus.”
The Abyss is bottomless pit; out of which the beast
comes out to deceive the inhabitants of the Earth—which also will be satan’s
prison just before the Millennial Reign (Rev. 17:8; 20:1-3).
“Tartarus” is the abode of the angels who sinned
before the Flood (2 Peter 2:4).
“The Book of Life” is the book of acknowledge of names
of the victorious saints in the Presence of the Triune God and the angels.
And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast
into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:15 KJV).
The lake of fire is “the second death” (v.14).
The ‘opposite’ of “the First Resurrection” is “the
second death.”
You are either part of “the First Resurrection” or a
candidate of “the second death” which is “the lake of fire” (eternal
condemnation in hell).
Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first
resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests
of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Rev 20:6 NIV
All who are part of “the First Resurrection” shall
be priests of GOD THE FATHER and of GOD THE SON.
