VOWS
 PASTOR BENNY HINN
God loves and honors vows!
Throughout history He has performed mighty miracles when people have made and fulfilled vows.
What is so important about a vow?
You can unlock God’s miraculous Power through making a vow and fulfilling it. If you are facing an especially large challenge, not knowing what to do, not knowing where to turn, it may be time for you to consider making a vow before God.
We are told, “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most High: And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me” (Ps 50:14-15 KJV).

Jacob vowed to give a special offering if God would bless and keep him, and the result was not only God’s protection but also His outpouring of abundance.
And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God:
And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that Thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto Thee.
Gen 28:20-22 KJV

Hannah devoted her son Samuel to a lifetime of ministry, and Israel’s future was changed.
And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.
And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if Thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of Thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget Thine handmaid, but wilt give unto Thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
1 Sam 1:10-11KJV

Jonah made a vow under great distress in the belly of a huge fish, and his adherence to that vow caused a powerful revival to rock the city of Nineveh.
But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper?  arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?
And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.
Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the Presence of the Lord, because he had told them.
Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.
And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.
Wherefore they cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for Thou, O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee.
So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord, and made vows.
Jonah 1:4-16 KJV

Chapter 2 narrates that Jonah prayed to the Lord God out of the belly of a fish, by reason of his affliction.
Verse 10 says: “And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land” (KJV)

Are you facing impossible circumstances? It is entirely biblical to make a vow when you are in danger or up against impossible situations. And when you make vows to God, He listens.
Please understand, a vow is not just a seed. A vow is not just an offering. There is a difference, and there is uncommon Power in a vow! A vow gets God’s attention in a way that a seed or an offering cannot.

Timing is crucial for fulfilling your vows!

“I will go into Thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay Thee my vows,
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.”
Ps 66:13-14 KJV

God desires to bless you beyond your wildest dreams.
Now He that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
2 Cor 9:10-11 KJV
