The Name Of The Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Proverbs 18:10 KJV

Jehovah Eloheenu
The Lord our God

Exalt The Lord our God
and worship at His footstool; He is Holy.

O Lord our God, You answered them;
You were to Israel a forgiving God,
though You punished their misdeeds.

Exalt The Lord our God
and worship at His holy mountain,
for The Lord our God is Holy.
Ps 99:5, 8 and 9 NIV

GOD ALMIGHTY governs the world by His Providence; He governs the Church by His Grace through His Son JESUS CHRIST.
We are to believe not only that The Lord lives, but that The Lord reigns.
At Mount Sinai in Israel, the people and even Moses, did exceedingly fear and quake; and then God was terrible in His holy place. Even when He appeared in His people's behalf, He did terrible things.
Upon the Mount Zion that is above, we shall all together in the near future, in bodily form worship GOD
You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm; to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them, because they could not bear what was commanded: "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned."  The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear."
But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
Hebrews 12:18-24 NIV

The earth is referred to as God's footstool (see Matt 5:35; Isa 66:1); also, sometimes Jerusalem is called God’s footstool; likewise the temple, the tabernacle, and the ark of the Covenant  are all in Scripture given such reference, Lam. 2:1; Psa. 99:5;1 Chron. 28:2.
The Israelites, when they worshipped, turned their faces toward the ark, because that was the place where was the symbol of the divine Presence of GOD.
When the people had sinned, and wrath was about to descend on them, Moses and Aaron interceded for them, and they were not destroyed. God spared them, but showed his displeasure at their misdoings. He chastised, but did not consume them.
‘Worship at his holy hill’ means worship Him in The Spirit. The people were expected not only to worship God publicly in the temple, but more so, in the beauty of His Holiness.
This Psalm contains a prophecy of the Kingdom of GOD and His CHRIST, and His Glory.

The LORD reigns in Terror, Power, and Majesty. He bids defiance to His enemies; "Let the people tremble." "He sits between the cherubim." He is always present with His people; they need not fear, though the earth be moved. He is great in Zion and more potent and higher than all people. His Name is great and terrible. His enemies have everything to fear, while His friends have everything to hope in Him.
The psalmist describes God’s Kingdom, from its justice and equity.
The LORD is perfect in judgment, He establishes equity.
He requires us to exalt and adore Him—to worship at His footstool. All our approach to Him are to be made in the deepest reverence, with the truest self-abasement. "For He is Holy;" and He requires all his followers to be holy also.
How are we to worship The LORD?
In our affection. In our meditation. In our supplication. In our conversation. In our profession. In our consecration. In our co-operation. In our expectation.

The children of Israel in Scripture often called upon The Name Of The Lord—Jehovah Eloheenu (‘THE LORD our GOD’), when in danger, in exile, in servitude, in joyful celebration, or in   national repentance (read 2 Kings 19:19;1 Chron.14:11;29:16; Psa. 106:47; Isa.26:13;37:20; Jer. 14:22; Dan.9:15).
