THE BOOK OF REVELATION
Part 20
The 144,000 Sealed
~ ~ ~
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four
corners of the Earth, holding the four winds of the Earth, that the wind should
not blow on the Earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal
of the Living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom
it was given to hurt the Earth and the sea,
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till
we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev 7:1-3 KJV
The effects of completely windless day would likely
devastate the planet. The weather patterns of the Earth would be completely in
havoc. Weather is profoundly dependent on wind. If the wind doesn’t blow,
there’s no telling what would happen.
The 144,000 Jewish witnesses [the Elect] are sealed
beginning with the following verse.
Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from
all the tribes of Israel.
From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed,
from the tribe of Reuben 12,000,
from the tribe of Gad 12,000,
from the tribe of Asher 12,000,
from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000,
from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,
from the tribe of Simeon 12,000,
from the tribe of Levi 12,000,
from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,
from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000,
from the tribe of Joseph 12,000,
from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.
Rev 7:4-8 NIV
The Elect are “spiritual Jews” who are being sealed
with THE NAME OF THE FATHER and THE NAME OF THE SON on their foreheads (see
14:1). They are redeemed from the Earth (v.3). The sealing of the servants of
God is taking place now!
Note that the names of the ‘12 sealed tribes’
recorded here are not the same as the names of the ‘12 sons’ [tribes] given in
Genesis 49.
The 144,000 (sealed tribes):

"The First Seal" through "the Sixth
Seal" in Revelation 6 has already been opened.
Between the Sixth Seal and completion of the sealing
of “the Elect” is an intervening period of time (7:1-3); an interlude
(interval) which is different from the former and the latter events.
The opening of the Seventh Seal (8:1) will cause
silence in Heaven about the space of “half an hour,” followed by the angels of
the Seven Trumpets.
Remember that in chapter 7, the angel having the
Seal of the Living God announced to the four angels standing on the four
corners of the Earth; who were to hurt the Earth, the sea, and trees, saying:
"Hurt
not the Earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants
of our God in their foreheads.
‘The four angels’ were to delay carrying out God’s
divine Judgment upon the Earth, the sea and trees, and this becomes an interval
for the sealing of the servants of God, so that their Salvation can be
guaranteed.
But in the time of the opening of the Seventh Seal,
“the Trumpet plagues” which were delayed begins with chapter 8.
God's servants who are sealed with His Name shall
behold Him and live with Him eternally in Heaven.
“They will see His face, and His Name will be on their
foreheads.”
Rev 22:4 NIV
Jesus told His disciples that for the sake of “the
Elect” the days of the Tribulation will be cut short.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be
saved: but for the Elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Matt 24:22 KJV
The Tribulation period cannot exceed 7 years!
