The
Necessity of Prayer
Prayer helps us to maintain a retentive memory of
the written Word which we have already studied or meditated upon. Also, prayer
helps to purify what we are seeing.
But, prayerlessness is proof of unbelief.
Prayerlessness makes a man to lack counsel. Loss of vision and revelation are
results of prayerlessness.
Prayer is indispensable.
Prayer ushers us into the secret place of The Most
High—the place where no devil can reach.
There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's
eye hath not seen:
The lion's whelps have not trodden it,
nor the fierce lion
passed by it.
Job 28:7-8 KJV
Through prayer GOD turns a barren state; a state of
dryness, into a fruitful condition. Through the prayer of faith, GOD can calm
the storm of your life. Through prayer we access the Throne of GOD. And through
prayer we overcome our enemy. He expects your prayer in the morning (Ps.
88:13); He listens to the prayer of the afflicted (102:1), and responds to the
prayer of the destitute (see Ps.102:17).
